    Oddup is a Hong Kong-based provider of data-driven insights for the startup and cryptocurrency ecosystems. Led by co-founder and CEO James Giancotti, the company offers technology that delivers startup, investor, sector, and ecosystem data insights and analyses used by management consultancies, corporates, data companies, startups, and investors. Its tools are used daily by organizations including Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters Refintiv, Factiva and Amazon. Oddup currently tracks more than 300,000 companies, 63,000 investors across 15 sectors and 30 territories. The company closed a $12.8M Series C funding round. It intends to use the funds to accelerate global expansion and product development, with a particular focus on crypto-assets, digital ledger technologies, blockchain and virtual currencies. Oddup is a Hong Kong-based research platform that uses data and analysis to provide information to startup investors. It gives analytical information on startups, rates them on a 0–100 score, and delivers startup data, research, and media aimed at angel investors, venture capital and private equity professionals. The platform is free to sign up with paid subscriptions for premium reports and in-depth analysis. Oddup also offers an API for customers to integrate startup data and mobile apps for iOS and Android. The company partnered with Thomson Reuters and relaunched its website to broaden access to the Asian startup landscape. Oddup has raised US$6m in a Series A (bringing total funding to US$7m) and intends to use proceeds to expand into India and complete expansion throughout Asia.
