- Dandelion Health
Participated · Series A · May 2026
Dandelion Health develops a multimodal clinical AI platform intended to inform drug development and redesign clinical trial design using high-fidelity longitudinal clinical data. The company positions its platform to better characterize pre-disease windows and patient trajectories so trials are built against current clinical realities rather than outdated disease definitions. Leadership mentioned in the announcement includes Elliott Green and Niyum Gandhi, and the company has attracted investors with healthcare and scientific expertise. Financially, the company completed a $14 million Series A led by new investors Healthier Capital and Colle Capital alongside returning investors Primary Venture Partners, Moxxie Ventures, and Convergent Ventures. Dandelion says the new capital will be applied to continue developing its clinical-AI capabilities and expanding its platform's use in life sciences and AI development. The article does not disclose revenue, user, or other operating metrics.
- FibreCoat
Participated · Series B · Dec 2024
FibreCoat is a German-founded materials company that coats metals and plastics onto fibers during the fiber spinning process to combine the properties of the fibers and the coating material. Its coated fibers are engineered for strength, conductivity and recyclability and protect against radiation, heat and electromagnetic interference (EMI). The company’s products are targeted at space and defense customers—applications cited include launchers, satellites, sensors, circuits, shielding and chaff material—and it also sees demand in automotive use cases such as electric vehicles. FibreCoat has raised over €20M in a Series B to scale production and meet rising demand. The company says it has grown rapidly since its founding and intends to use the fundraise to increase production and accelerate scaling. Through a strategic partnership with NewSpace Capital, FibreCoat expects to leverage investor network and market knowledge to bring its low-cost, high-performance materials to customers.
- Profluent Bio
Participated · Series A · Mar 2024
Founded in 2022, Profluent Bio has built an AI-first platform that applies large-scale language models to de novo protein design. The company’s Protein Atlas now contains more than 115 billion unique proteins, giving it what it claims is the world’s largest protein data resource. Its technology has already produced OpenCRISPR-1, an open-source gene editor used by thousands of commercial and academic groups, and it maintains commercial partnerships with Revvity, Corteva Agrisciences, The Rett Syndrome Research Trust and Integrated DNA Technologies. Profluent was the first to show that large language models can generate functional proteins (Nature Biotech, 2023) and later designed the first AI-created CRISPR system from scratch (Nature, 2025). With new funding the company is expanding beyond genome editors into antibodies, antigens, enzymes and other biologic formats, aiming to become the partner of choice for protein design across multi-trillion-dollar markets. To date, the Emeryville-based company has raised $150 million, including the latest $106 million round to accelerate product development and commercial scale.
