  • Haelixa

    Participated · Series A · Feb 2026

Haelixa, spun out of ETH Zurich in 2016, has developed a patented DNA-marker technology that is applied directly to raw materials and survives all subsequent processing stages, creating an immutable, on-product proof of origin. By sampling products at multiple points in the value chain, the company verifies that the original marked material is present, giving brands auditable data on provenance, environmental impact, and social compliance. Its solution is already deployed across textiles, precious metals, and gemstones, helping customers combat fraud and counterfeiting while meeting rising regulatory demands for transparency. The business reports scaled commercial adoption, seven-figure revenues, and multi-year contracts with leading fashion and textile brands. With the new capital, Haelixa plans to accelerate international expansion, grow its team, deepen collaboration with supply-chain partners, and extend its technology into anti-counterfeiting applications for luxury goods.

  • one • fıve

    Participated · Series A · Jan 2026

Headquartered in Hamburg, one.five offers an AI-driven solution that converts technical performance data, regulatory constraints, and consumer preferences into precise requirement profiles for new packaging materials. This data-centric approach is designed to cut R&D waste and shorten time-to-market for sustainable paper-based packaging. The company was founded by Martin Weber, former CFO of vertical-farming unicorn Infarm, and Claire Hae-Min Gusko. Early commercial traction includes collaborations with paper manufacturers Starkraft (a Zellstoff Pöls AG unit) and Grünperga Papier, while it is also cultivating partnerships with converters and global FMCG brands. The recently secured Series A funding will finance further platform development and international operational expansion. Although no revenue or user numbers were disclosed, the company positions itself as a critical technology layer within the packaging supply chain, aiming to deliver market-ready, regulation-compliant materials more efficiently.

  • FibreCoat

    Participated · Series B · Dec 2024

FibreCoat is a German-founded materials company that coats metals and plastics onto fibers during the fiber spinning process to combine the properties of the fibers and the coating material. Its coated fibers are engineered for strength, conductivity and recyclability and protect against radiation, heat and electromagnetic interference (EMI). The company’s products are targeted at space and defense customers—applications cited include launchers, satellites, sensors, circuits, shielding and chaff material—and it also sees demand in automotive use cases such as electric vehicles. FibreCoat has raised over €20M in a Series B to scale production and meet rising demand. The company says it has grown rapidly since its founding and intends to use the fundraise to increase production and accelerate scaling. Through a strategic partnership with NewSpace Capital, FibreCoat expects to leverage investor network and market knowledge to bring its low-cost, high-performance materials to customers.

  • ExoMatter

    Participated · Seed · Oct 2024

ExoMatter provides an AI-driven materials R&D platform that ingests material data from scientific sources and processes it to deliver physical, chemical and engineering properties, sustainability metrics, and cost indicators. The platform leverages AI and quantum chemical modeling to help researchers and developers evaluate and select materials for industrial, chemical and manufacturing applications. ExoMatter says its tools are designed to cut materials costs and reduce carbon emissions. The company already works with several DAX-listed customers, including Airbus and Infineon, which the founders cite as early proof points. Founders Dr. Josua Vieten (CEO) and Barbara Bachus (COO) bring backgrounds in chemistry/materials science and R&D coordination, respectively. ExoMatter closed a €1.7M pre-seed round and plans to further automate and scale the platform while pursuing a follow-on funding round next year.
