  • REACH Health

    Led · Series A · Sep 2010

REACH Health provides clinically driven telemedicine software that integrates real-time audio/video technology with vital patient information, images, workflow and documentation. Its single, multidiscipline platform supports specialties including neurology, cardiology, pulmonology, psychiatry and stroke and enables remote consultations and specialist access. The company pioneered telestroke and says its solutions help health systems achieve measurable clinical, operational and financial improvements. REACH Health powers many of the nation’s largest telemedicine networks and emphasizes ease of use for physicians and clinicians across specialties. The company is rolling out its REACH Access platform to expand specialty coverage and adoption. Recent funding will support that rollout and broader growth as more health systems implement its solutions to improve outcomes and reduce costs. REACH Health offers a cloud-computing telemedicine platform that enables live audio/video consultations and comprehensive patient data sharing to connect specialty physicians with patients. Its new multidisciplinary platform, REACH Access™, was designed by physicians to extend the company’s original urgent-stroke care technology across multiple clinical disciplines. The platform was originally developed to provide remote urgent neurological care for stroke victims in remote, rural, and underserved areas. REACH’s solutions serve numerous clinical environments, including emergency departments, ICUs, clinics, and in-patient facilities for neurology, pulmonology, cardiology, psychiatry and other consultations. The company says the funding will support expansion into additional markets as more hospitals implement its telemedicine offerings. REACH Health is based in Alpharetta, Ga. REACH Call offers a Software-as-a-Service telemedicine platform that lets specialists (notably neurologists) evaluate and diagnose patients 24/7 in remote, underserved and urban locations. Its evidence-based software protocols enable clinically rich collaborations in time-critical emergency situations such as stroke, regardless of distance. The company was founded in 2006 by a group of neurology and emergency medicine physicians from Georgia Health Sciences University and is based in Augusta, GA. REACH serves hospitals within large health systems, including HCA, Ascension Health, OhioHealth and Ochsner Health System. The business recently completed a $5M Series A financing to support continued expansion into acute care services. REACH plans to grow national sales and marketing and invest in R&D to expand into new clinical specialties.
