BioScout builds an AI-powered early warning platform that captures and analyzes airborne crop pathogens before visible field damage occurs. Its automated hardware uses an active wind vane to trap airborne particles onto an internal adhesive tape, which is then positioned beneath a high-resolution robotic microscope for imaging. Proprietary machine learning models analyze the physical morphology of over 40 distinct agricultural threats, including Alternaria and Downy Mildew. The company currently operates a global automated sensor network of about 250 units and plans to scale to 1,000 active deployments by 2029. BioScout intends to expand commercially across Europe and enter the Brazilian soybean market. The company is led by founder and CEO Dr. Lewis Collins and recently raised A$6.75m (US$4.8m) in Seed funding.

Sensie develops a wireless plant health wearable, Sensie Omni, that captures direct physiological signals (growth, water status, stress and recovery) and combines them with root-zone and climate context to inform cultivation decisions. The device is designed to measure the interaction between Supply (root zone), Demand (micro-climate) and Response (plant stress) in a single wireless unit. Founded in 2025 by Olivier Begerem and Christophe Sysmans and based in Ghent, Sensie has begun initial greenhouse deployments and recently completed its public launch. The company aims to democratise plant intelligence for professional growers by making the plant’s own response measurable in real time. Sensie plans to use its new pre-Seed funding to optimise hardware and software, scale commercial rollouts, expand deployments, and onboard distributors, technology partners, and research collaborators.

Founded in 2018 as a spin-out from Delft University of Technology, PATS develops an integrated pest-management suite that combines computer vision, AI and nature-inspired drones to detect and neutralise flying insects in greenhouses. Its portfolio includes the PATS-C real-time flying-pest tracker, Trap-Eye sticky-trap scanner (co-developed with Biobest), and predictive software tools PATS-Vinder and PATS-Kalendar that forecast outbreaks and recommend interventions. All hardware and software are designed and manufactured in-house in Delft, enabling the company to ship more than 1,000 sensor units per month. The technology is already deployed in over 25 countries, giving vegetable, flower and ornamental growers early warnings and actionable advice while reducing labour and pesticide dependence. By replacing broad-spectrum insecticides with precise, automated solutions, PATS supports growers’ sustainability and regulatory goals. The newly raised capital will be used to speed up product development, broaden crop coverage and scale international sales, further embedding its AI platform in global greenhouse operations.
