  Ferryhopper operates an online ferry booking platform and mobile app that aggregates ferry routes and ticketing to simplify sea travel. Its mobile app has been downloaded more than 600,000 times and the startup holds a dominant presence in Greece, Spain, and Italy. Management says it focuses on a product-centric, seamless booking experience and benefits from organic, word-of-mouth user acquisition and strong user reviews. Investors have described the business as well-managed and profitable. Ferryhopper plans to continue improving its services and products while expanding further into European regions, including Northern Europe and beyond. Ferryhopper operates an online platform that simplifies booking ferry tickets, covering more than 250 destinations in 10 countries. Founded in 2017, the Greek startup has grown to a team of about 30 people. During the COVID-19 pandemic the team completed mobile app development, enhanced content marketing, and shifted its business model toward local tourism. The company has raised external capital, including a €600,000 seed round last year and a new €2.6 million seed round. Ferryhopper will use the new funds to develop its services and infrastructure and to expand internationally. It plans to integrate additional destinations and ferry operators across the Mediterranean and Northern Europe over the next year and aims to become Europe’s leading ferry ticket booking engine within 2–3 years.
