Overview

LAUNCHub Ventures is a leading early-stage venture capital fund, investing in technology startups in the Seed and Series A funding stages. We invest in Central and Southeastern Europe (SEE & CEE), and in companies built by ambitious founders from that region who are based in the leading startup hubs such as London, San Francisco, and beyond. Our initial investment is between €300K and €2M, with capacity to continue supporting the funding needs of our portfolio companies in future rounds. We are leading investment rounds up to 4M. We are looking for scalable businesses with initial traction and passionate founders, originating from South-Eastern Europe and the broader CEE region. We are valued by our portfolio companies because we invest much more than money. We partner with our founders and provide them with our full support to help move the venture forward. Many of our portfolio companies have already benefited from our 'Series A academy' program that helped them reach their milestones and successfully raise follow up A rounds. Since 2012 we have been growing the CEE startup ecosystem and today we are excited to have some of the biggest VC firms in Europe and the US follow our investment into our portfolio.

    Founded in 2020 by father-and-daughter duo Prof. Gordan Lauc and Nikolina Lauc, England-based GlycanAge analyzes glycans—complex sugars that coat cells and many proteins—to read inflammation-linked signals that drive ageing. Its flagship offering is an IgG glycosylation-based “inflammaging” clock that provides a detailed measure of biological age and tracks how lifestyle, environmental factors and chronic inflammation affect health over time. The company is now building indication-specific clinical tools for stress and resilience, cardiometabolic health, weight management and hormones, with plans to package these as products for practitioners. It is also validating diagnostic indications and preparing its first lab-developed tests for hospital and reference-lab use, supported by collaborations with Northwestern University Hospital and Mayo Clinic. A pilot is already live at St Catherine Specialty Hospital in Zagreb, and GlycanAge intends to roll out to more than 10 hospitals across Europe and the Middle East within a year. In Saudi Arabia, a partnership with the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology will host the firm’s first local laboratory to serve regional hospital networks.
