Antiverse combines proprietary generative machine-learning models with programmable cell-line engineering to rapidly create epitope-specific, therapeutic-grade antibodies against difficult targets such as GPCRs and ion channels. Its lab-in-the-loop workflow reportedly reduces de novo antibody development timelines to under four months, integrating in-silico design with in-house build and validation. The company supports partnered discovery programs with several top-20 pharmaceutical firms and has just launched a research collaboration with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to generate antibodies targeting the extracellular region of CFTR. Backed by more than $20 million in total funding, Antiverse is expanding its platform, accelerating its internal pipeline, and intends to move its first wholly owned candidates into later-stage preclinical development by 2027. Headquartered in Cardiff, UK, with offices in Boston and Prague, the team has spent seven years training its models on challenging targets to optimize physicochemical properties and humanness of antibodies. OutSee applies a “genomics-first” strategy to drug target discovery through its proprietary Nomaly platform, which employs hypothesis-free AI modelling to predict disease and phenotype directly from individual genomes. By analysing fundamental molecular and cellular biology, Nomaly is able to reveal disease-driving mechanisms even in small or previously analysed datasets, making it complementary to conventional target-discovery pipelines. The company is building an internal portfolio of data-backed targets and has already identified a lead candidate that will advance into drug discovery with support from external partners. A recent strategic collaboration with o2h discovery will create a library of drug candidates against this lead target, leveraging o2h’s integrated pre-clinical CRO capabilities and co-discovery InflexionTx match-funding model. Proceeds from OutSee’s oversubscribed £2.5 million seed round will fund experimental validation of additional targets, expansion of its in-house discovery programme, and continued R&D to evolve Nomaly from validation phase to active value generation. The financing also underscores growing investor confidence in the company’s AI-powered approach to precision medicine.

Founded in 2020 by father-and-daughter duo Prof. Gordan Lauc and Nikolina Lauc, England-based GlycanAge analyzes glycans—complex sugars that coat cells and many proteins—to read inflammation-linked signals that drive ageing. Its flagship offering is an IgG glycosylation-based “inflammaging” clock that provides a detailed measure of biological age and tracks how lifestyle, environmental factors and chronic inflammation affect health over time. The company is now building indication-specific clinical tools for stress and resilience, cardiometabolic health, weight management and hormones, with plans to package these as products for practitioners. It is also validating diagnostic indications and preparing its first lab-developed tests for hospital and reference-lab use, supported by collaborations with Northwestern University Hospital and Mayo Clinic. A pilot is already live at St Catherine Specialty Hospital in Zagreb, and GlycanAge intends to roll out to more than 10 hospitals across Europe and the Middle East within a year. In Saudi Arabia, a partnership with the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology will host the firm’s first local laboratory to serve regional hospital networks. The company has raised at least €11.3 million to date, including a €3.9 million seed round in 2024 and the latest €7.4 million financing.

Recent hiring from top pharmaceutical firms and the University of Oxford has strengthened expertise in machine learning, enzyme engineering, process scaling and commercialisation. Proceeds from the latest funding will expand the enzyme discovery engine, scale wet-lab capabilities and grow the team. The company did not disclose revenue or user metrics, but investor interest highlights strong demand for bio-based solutions that deliver both performance and sustainability.
