Founded in August 2024 by Sachin Chhabra and Lt. Col. Pushkar Raj, Nia.one operates a full-stack, phygital ecosystem designed for India’s gig and migrant workforce. Its Niadel hubs, situated within a kilometre of large logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing worksites, bundle jobs, housing, meals, mobility, and community services in one location. The platform’s architecture comprises Flow (job matching), Studio (housing and daily essentials), Tribe (community engagement), and Rafiki (an AI assistant), aiming to improve worker retention and enterprise productivity. Nia.one currently supports 3,000 workers across 50 cities and intends to scale to more than 8,000 workers in the coming quarters. By integrating employment and daily-life services, the company positions itself as a capital-efficient solution for India’s rapidly expanding gig economy. Proceeds from its recent financing will fund the rollout of additional Niadel hubs along major employment corridors.

Management plans to use new capital to expand credit offerings, deepen rural reach, enhance product offerings and pursue growth with an eye toward profitability. The founders, Utpal Isser and Sameer Mishra, bring extensive banking experience and a household-focused, data-driven approach to rural lending. SarvaGram is a rural household-focused lending and distribution platform that delivers customised financial and capacity-enhancing products to an addressable market of over 80 million rural households. The company operates from eight hubs, has more than 50 outlets across four states, and works with 250+ franchise partners covering over 8,000 villages. Management plans to expand the distribution footprint by adding 75 outlets to reach 125 by the end of FY2024 and to scale its SarvaMitra franchise program to three times its current size. The fundraise will also be used to strengthen the technology layer, hire tech talent, and solidify the existing tech stack to support operations and data analytics. Elevar Equity noted the company has demonstrated robust financial margins, and investors highlighted the founders' experience and the benefits of increased data availability for underwriting.

Cloudphysician partners with hospitals to manage patients in intensive care units (ICUs) through its technology stack and AI capabilities. Its core product includes an AI platform called RADAR, which the company will further develop to improve co-pilot features using data. The startup was founded in 2017 by intensivists and pulmonologists Dr Dhruv Joshi and Dr Dileep Raman. Cloudphysician will use the new funds to propel operations in India and expand into the Middle East, the US, and Southeast Asia. Financially, the company has raised $10.5 million in this Series A, three years after a prior $4 million raise. The articles indicate the company plans to invest the capital into product development and geographic expansion.

Founded in 2021 and based in Bengaluru, Niro operates in a competitive market that includes KrediBee, MoneyTap, and BankBazaar. The company is considering increasing its current pre-Series B raise if it attracts additional investors. Niro is an embedded consumer-lending platform that enables consumer internet platforms to become providers of competitive, frictionless credit and other financial products. Founded in 2021 and based in Bangalore, it integrates with consumer internet companies such as Snapdeal, Quikr, and Housing.com. Since launching less than 16 months ago the company says it has seen rapid validation and partner-driven growth. Niro plans to use its Series A proceeds to expand its partner footprint, broaden product offerings, enhance risk analytics capabilities, and bolster its technology layer. The company closed a Series A totalling ₹90 crore ($11M) comprising $8.5M in equity and $2.5M in venture debt. Earlier, Niro raised a $3.5M seed round in October 2021 led by Elevar Equity.

TapFin is a sustainability platform that is concentrating initially on clean mobility. The company said it raised $4 million in a funding round led by Elevar Equity. TapFin intends to use the funds to accelerate its goal to become India’s leading sustainability platform. Its expansion plans start with clean mobility and will extend into other sustainability verticals such as solar and other renewable energy technologies. The announcement presented the funding as part of TapFin’s growth and product expansion strategy within the Indian sustainability market.
