  • Lys Therapeutics

    Lys Therapeutics is developing LYS241, a fully humanized, Fc‑silent IgG1 monoclonal antibody designed to selectively block the pathological interaction between tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) and NMDA receptors while preserving physiological receptor function. The company is positioning LYS241 to address blood‑brain barrier dysfunction, neuroinflammation and excitotoxicity across Parkinson’s disease, synucleinopathies including multiple system atrophy, and ischemic stroke. Preclinical data cited by the company support potential effects on BBB dysfunction, neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative progression, and suggest relevance as a standalone or adjunctive therapy in ischemic stroke to improve reperfusion quality and reduce complications. Lys has completed preclinical, regulatory, manufacturing and translational milestones and plans a biomarker‑rich Phase 1a/1b program including healthy volunteers and indication‑specific patient cohorts. Financially, the company has raised more than €25 million since founding in 2021, including a grant of over $5 million from The Michael J. Fox Foundation and support from Bpifrance, France 2030 and private investors.

  • Calogena

    Calogena develops the CAL30, a 30 MWth pool-type reactor designed for heat production with low pressure (about 6 bars) and low temperature (around 100°C). The design emphasizes a limited number of auxiliary systems, which the company says makes it intrinsically simpler and safer than conventional reactors. Calogena was selected in phase 1 of France’s ‘‘Petits réacteurs nucléaires innovants’’ program and received €5.2M in subsidies; it has since pursued further regulatory interactions including a third request for safety opinions to the ASNR in January 2026. The company is studying a demonstrator on the CEA Cadarache site and is positioning the CAL30 internationally, participating in implantation studies for Kuopio and Helsinki in Finland where the design is in pre-instruction with the STUK regulator. Calogena reports five projects in France and Finland totaling 20 reactors and plans to complete the detailed design and file for creation authorization for its first series by 2028. The recent capital increase—nearly €100M, including €48M from France 2030—aims to fund these development, regulatory and early commercial activities and provides management with more than two years of visibility.

  • Welinq

    Welinq is a quantum-tech company specializing in hardware that links separate neutral-atom quantum processing units (QPUs) into a single, larger computer. Its flagship offering is a high-rate entanglement generation platform—described as a “quantum Ethernet port”—that converts qubit information into photons and distributes it between processors. The firm also claims to operate the most powerful neutral-atom-based quantum memory demonstrated to date, already validated through its first commercial sale. Welinq’s technology aligns natively with neutral-atom systems, operating at compatible optical wavelengths and allowing seamless integration from computing to networking. Through the new InterQo project it will collaborate with Pasqal to embed networking capability and efficient photon-extraction interfaces directly into future QPUs. The ultimate goal is to deploy scalable, fault-tolerant, networked quantum computers inside data-center environments worldwide. Financially, Welinq has just secured €4 million in non-dilutive France 2030 funding to advance this roadmap.

  • Skydrone Robotics

    Skydrone Robotics is a La Rochelle–based drone manufacturer that has evolved over the past decade from a start-up into a small industrial SME focused on both civil and military applications. Its aircraft are tailored for logistics missions such as transporting supplies for armed forces and performing inspection work on electrical power lines. The company currently employs about 20 people—three-quarters of whom are engineers—and is hiring 10 additional staff to support expansion. Fresh capital will finance a new 2,000 m² plant capable of assembling several hundred drones per year, marking a shift from prototyping to scaled production. Management’s stated ambition is to become a leading player in the European civil-military drone market. Besides ramping manufacturing, funds will also bolster R&D and operational capacity to meet growing demand.

  • SiPearl

    SiPearl designs high-performance, energy-efficient processors intended for supercomputing and AI workloads, including the Rhea1 CPU. The company was launched in January 2020 under the European Processor Initiative and was seed funded by the European Union. SiPearl has built a processor team of about 200 employees across France, Spain, and Italy and established sovereign infrastructure with data centres and emulation servers in France for design work. Rhea1, conceived as the most complex processor ever designed in Europe, contains more than 61 billion transistors across 80 Arm Neoverse V1 cores and has taped out for manufacturing at TSMC in Taiwan. Rhea1 is slated to equip the CPU cluster of JUPITER, the first European exascale supercomputer operated by Jülich Supercomputing Centre. The company is advancing industrialization and R&D toward next-generation processors targeting supercomputing, data centres, AI, and enterprise markets.
