  • PreShow

    Participated · Seed · Apr 2021

PreShow Interactive builds an app that lets users connect their in-game accounts, watch ad packages, and receive purchased virtual currency transferred directly to their accounts. The product targets PCs, consoles and virtual-reality games and aims to support roughly 20,000 games at launch. Users must download a separate PreShow app to watch ads and claim rewards rather than integrating ads into individual games. The company uses technology to detect when viewers are actually looking at their screens and will pause ads if the viewer looks away, a feature some critics call invasive while early users reportedly embraced it. PreShow shifted focus from theatrical movie ticket offers to gaming due to pandemic-related changes in moviegoing, but plans to eventually offer both movie and gaming deals under one roof. The startup is led by MoviePass founding CEO Stacy Spikes and recently closed financing to support the product rollout.

  • CareAlign

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2020

CareAlign provides a HIPAA-compliant task management system designed for health care providers and led by CEO Subha Airan-Javia, MD. The platform was initially validated in acute care settings, where it reduced the amount of time clinicians spend in the EHR and improved patient outcomes. This year the company expanded into post-acute and outpatient care and has begun offering solutions to value-based care organizations to help manage patient transitions across care settings. Key features include an integrated, real-time progress note format, a common communication thread linking users who share patient caseloads, and the ability to create checklists during rounds to avoid errors. CareAlign raised additional financing and intends to use the funds to expand both its sales force and its technology offerings. The company is based in Philadelphia, PA. TrekIT Health provides a HIPAA-compliant, secure, real-time workspace that synthesizes information across EHRs and care teams to improve clinician workflows. Its platform has been integrated at major health systems across the United States. The product is in use by over 150 different clinical services and more than 5,000 users a month. The company is led by CEO Subha Airan-Javia, MD. TrekIT announced the appointment of Rick Valencia as executive chairman; Valencia previously led Qualcomm Life and oversaw healthcare-focused funds. The company recently closed additional seed financing to support its growth and deployments.
