Overview
We believe in Bitcoin as a next generation politically neutral monetary system, the foundation for decentralized finance of the future. While Bitcoin is an efficient settlement layer, it needs a Layer-2 solution for everyday transactions. That is why we support development of the Lightning Network - an essential step towards decentralized finance. As technology entrepreneurs we combine decades of experience creating business from zero and scaling it in emerging and fast-growing industries. We support outstanding teams in several ways: writing checks of $50-$200k for pre-seed startups; granting rewards for acknowledged contributions to the ecosystem; providing startup advisory and mentoring; investing in later stages. Along the way we help startups to navigate cryptocurrency legal and regulatory environment according to the evolving industry standards and best practices.

- Utexo
Participated · Seed · Mar 2026
Utexo is developing a Bitcoin-native execution and settlement layer that lets payment operators process USDT stablecoin transactions instantly with predictable costs and privacy. Its API and SDK combine the Lightning Network’s real-time transaction capability with RGB’s privacy-preserving asset issuance to remove the technical complexities of routing stablecoin payments on Bitcoin rails. By abstracting custody, compliance workflows, and user-experience changes, the platform enables operators to integrate Bitcoin-based settlement without rebuilding their systems. Led by Viktor Ihnatiuk and Chris Hutchinson, the company positions itself as critical infrastructure for stablecoin payment providers seeking speed and discretion. The freshly raised capital will be directed toward expanding operations and accelerating product development. No revenue, user, or other operating metrics were disclosed in the article.

CAEX is a newly formed Vietnam-based cryptocurrency exchange established within the VPBank ecosystem with founding shareholders VPBank Securities and LynkiD. The exchange has raised strategic capital from OKX Ventures and HashKey Capital to bring its capital base to roughly $380 million and qualify for Vietnam’s pilot licensing program under Resolution 05/2025. CAEX will leverage VPBank Securities for financial backing and governance and LynkiD for core technology and digital identity services. As part of the investor partnership, OKX and HashKey will support CAEX on infrastructure, security, compliance, and liquidity. The timing of the fundraise aligns with Vietnam’s new Digital Technology Industry Law and stronger anti‑money‑laundering requirements aimed at bringing crypto activity onshore. CAEX’s positioning targets participation in a limited government pilot expected to grant licenses to a handful of domestic exchanges as regulators seek to curb offshore trading.
