- AstroX
Participated · Series A · Sep 2024
AstroX is a Japanese private space startup founded in May 2022 that is building a Rockoon system, in which a balloon carries a rocket to high altitude before launch, to provide low-cost, high-frequency and rapid-response small-satellite deployment. Headquartered in Minamisoma, Fukushima Prefecture, the company pursues the vision of restoring “Japan as No. 1” in space development. Demand for small-satellite launches is rising sharply, yet Japan currently depends almost entirely on foreign launchers; AstroX aims to fill this gap domestically. In December 2025 the firm successfully conducted its first launcher experiment, validating separation mechanics for its rocket mount. Proceeds from its Series A financing will be used to accelerate Rockoon R&D and expand engineering talent, with the goal of reaching space by 2026. Total Series A funding now amounts to ¥2.32 billion, providing capital for continued technology development and operational scaling. No revenue or customer metrics were disclosed in the article.
- Immedio
Participated · Series A · Jul 2024
immedio provides a platform that automates and streamlines companies' inbound sales process, turning inquiries into scheduled meetings quickly and efficiently. The product initially focused on immediate post-inquiry response and has expanded to cover website revisit handling and automated follow-up emails across the customer journey. The company is integrating AI features such as automatic research and summarization of prospects and digitization of business-card data from events. Customers include listed firms Sansan, Money Forward, and freee, as well as growth-stage startups like STORES, hacomono, and HERP. immedio aims to expand into B2C verticals such as real estate and recruitment and already has pilot use cases in property investment and career-support sites. The team is led by founder Hideki Hamada, who previously worked at Mitsui & Co., attended Harvard Business School, and held roles at bitFlyer and Sansan. Financially, immedio has raised capital to support product development and marketing for new areas, with a cumulative funding total reported at about ¥500 million. immedio provides a one-line-code service that lets website visitors book sales appointments directly from inquiry pages, targeting higher connect and conversion rates for inside sales. The system uses respondents' answers on inquiry forms to decide whether and how to present appointment options, enabling rules such as hiding appointments for low-probability leads, deprioritizing free-email addresses, or routing enterprise inquiries to specific reps. The company ran multiple PoCs from March onward: a large SaaS customer's estimate-request form saw商談化率 rise from about 60% to 80%, and a dental-services client converted roughly 70% of auto-acquired meetings into orders. Founder Hidetaka Hamada (浜田英揮) previously worked at Mitsui & Co. for ten years, led bitFlyer’s U.S. office, and managed Sansan’s “Bill One” product. immedio officially launched and has positioned itself against overseas competitors such as Chili Piper. The company recently completed a seed financing, providing initial capital to scale product rollout and customer acquisition.
