Carrar develops battery packs and thermal management systems for EV powertrains and in-vehicle computers using two-phase immersion cooling. Its modules dissipate roughly twice the heat of existing solutions and the company says this can triple battery lifetime while preventing thermal runaway and battery fires. Carrar is working with Tier‑1 partners Gentherm and Röchling to build automotive-grade modules and has conducted safety tests with a global heavy-duty EV manufacturer that produced strong results. The company emphasizes improved performance in all weather conditions, increased passenger safety, and reduced total cost of ownership for EVs. Carrar maintains an operations team and offices in Sderot, Israel, and has continued development despite attacks on October 7. The recent financing is intended to enable the company to complete the final steps to bring its modules to market. Carrar is an Israel-based technology developer of advanced thermal management systems for the electric mobility market. The company developed a disruptive two-phase cooling technology that leverages the thermodynamic properties of latent heat to enable ultra-fast charging and discharging and deliver uniform temperature down to the cell level. Carrar says its solution preserves battery life, prevents thermal propagation, and is safer, more compact, cost-effective and efficient for EV battery packs, onboard electronics, and charging infrastructure. The company was established following five years of research and development and is based in Sderot, Israel. Gentherm led a Seed round investment in Carrar and stated it intends to work with Carrar to expand its Battery Performance Solutions portfolio and bring the technology to global markets. The press release did not disclose revenue or other operating metrics.
