  • Sola

    Participated · Series A · Aug 2025

Sola is an insurtech building a vertically integrated property insurance business by owning policy forms, modeling, claims, and internal tools. The company launched a flagship wind and hail program and became a Lloyd's of London coverholder. Since its seed round last year, Sola has grown revenue 7x. Sola uses objective data to trigger payouts rather than relying on traditional subjective claim adjustments. The company says it aims to own every step of the recovery process to deliver a seamless experience for customers and agents. It plans to use new funding to scale to eight figures in revenue, expand sales and product teams, and bring coverage to more homeowners. Sola is bringing unprecedented reliability to a historically chaotic home insurance market by offering data-driven policies that aim to keep premiums affordable and consistent. The company guarantees consistent and affordable premiums every year and is focused on reducing high premiums and deductibles for homeowners. Sola recently launched a wind and hail product to address high deductibles and out-of-pocket costs for wind, hail, and tornado damage. The firm is enhancing its agent platform so agents can quote and bind policies in seconds and plans to expand its state footprint to serve more high-risk states. Sola aims to extend its approach to cover all types of natural disasters in the future. Its platform uses advanced weather data and automated claims processing to deliver fast payouts within days and it has partnerships with mortgage companies and hundreds of independent agencies.
