Build & Imagine produces StoryWall magnetic building sets—illustrated panels, dolls and dozens of magnetic accessories—that combine to create scenes children can build, decorate and use for storytelling. The company was launched by Laurie Peterson following a $30k Kickstarter campaign last year. It is housed in downtown Berkeley and supported by the UC Berkeley SkyDeck accelerator program. Build & Imagine said it will use the funds to distribute its StoryWall product line. The company is working with retailers and channels including QVC, Amazon, Pottery Barn Kids, Kohl’s, Zulily and Learning Express during the holiday season.
