  • REplace

    Led · Equity · May 2025

REplace is an AI-driven platform that automates site selection and project acquisition for renewable energy and data center development. Its proprietary algorithms analyze more than 50 factors—landowners, grid data, permitting risk, and market dynamics—to provide instant go/no-go decisions and compress siting timelines from months to seconds. The product is used by large energy developers and acquirers, including Iberdrola (in partnership with Kyoto), EDF Renewables, Doral Energy, Elawan, and Bithenergy. REplace also supports acquisition teams evaluating secondary-market projects, positioning the platform as a tool for both development and M&A. The company plans to grow its engineering team, deepen its U.S. presence, and expand AI capabilities across land and M&A workflows. Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Tel-Aviv, REplace says the funding will help scale its impact in the U.S. and accelerate the clean energy transition.

  • FireDome

    Led · Seed · Dec 2024

FireDome develops a detection-and-launch system that uses a camera and computer to identify embers or small fires and fires biodegradable, fire-retardant-filled projectiles that open before impact to disperse their contents. The launcher can create barriers around assets or target hotspots with 12-gallon capsules; a single launcher can cover roughly 50–100 acres depending on topography and the first version can launch up to a quarter mile. Later versions are planned to reach about a one-mile radius and cover a few hundred acres, and the sensors embedded in capsules are intended to be recoverable and reusable. The company was founded earlier this year by Gadi Benjamini and Adi Naor Pomerantz and operated in stealth until the TechCrunch disclosure; Benjamini previously served in Israeli Defense Forces intelligence. FireDome has raised a $3 million pre-seed round and is targeting customers such as California vineyards and insurance companies. The company expects its first launchers to see action in the 2025–2026 fire season.

  • Aepnus Technology

    Participated · Seed · Jun 2024

Aepnus Technology is an advanced chemistry startup creating a modular, chlorine-free electrochemical system that modernises the manufacture of essential industrial chemicals. Its platform enables local, on-site production of caustic soda, sulfuric acid and related inputs while eliminating hazardous chlorine gas by-products and lowering energy use and carbon intensity. The technology targets industries ranging from battery manufacturing and critical mineral processing to paper, textiles and heavy industry, offering both economic and sustainability advantages. Founded by Lukas Hackl and Dr. Bilen Aküzüm, the company is headquartered in the United States and operates additional sites in Canada and Germany. By addressing supply-chain volatility—Turkey alone spends more than $150 million annually on caustic soda imports—the firm positions itself as a strategic alternative to conventional, centralized chlor-alkali plants. Recent funding is earmarked for team expansion, advancement across multiple markets and the deepening of industrial partnerships as the company moves toward global commercialisation.
