    FORT Robotics provides a Robotics Control Platform that delivers safety, security, and dynamic control for intelligent machines and autonomous systems. The company serves over 500 customers with an estimated 12,000 units deployed and holds 27 patents. FORT’s product roadmap focuses on enhancing existing products with new communication protocols, API integrations, and expanded international compliance. It plans to build next-generation safety capabilities, including critical data analytics and comprehensive safety solutions tailored to physical AI. Target industries include warehousing, agriculture, construction, autonomous vehicles, defense, factory automation, and humanoid robotics. Founded in 2018 and based in Philadelphia, FORT positions itself as an enabler for large-scale deployments of autonomous systems across global worksites. Fort builds software to make industrial robots safer around people while protecting them from cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Its FORT Platform fuses functional safety and cybersecurity principles to enable timely, accurate, and secure communication to, from, and between machines over any network. The platform has been adopted by robotics makers including Agility, Hexagon and Moog. The company is Philadelphia-based. Fort announced a $25 million Series B led by Tiger Global, bringing total funding to $41.5 million including a $13 million raise in March 2021 from investors such as Prime Movers Lab and Mark Cuban. The company says the new funds will be used to further deploy its safety systems and scale to meet demand from the next generation of smart machines. Fort Robotics develops safety software for collaborative robots and other autonomous systems, addressing cybersecurity vulnerabilities, system failures, and potential human error. Its platform targets a wide range of verticals, including warehouse fulfillment, manufacturing, delivery, and transportation. The company says it currently works with 100 companies across these categories. Fort positions its product to enable safer deployment of mobile automation across industries. Company leadership says additional investment will allow rapid scaling to capitalize on growing automation trends. The recent fundraising is intended to support that expansion.

    Foundation EGI offers an engineering general intelligence (EGI) platform that combines purpose-built large language models with physics-based context and engineering best practices to tackle design-to-manufacturing complexity. The platform transforms disorganized specifications, siloed tribal knowledge, and outdated instructions into succinct, structured, auditable, and human- and machine-executable workflows. It targets multiple manufacturing domains including automotive, heavy industry, appliances, power tools, and advanced manufacturing and is used at leading Fortune 500 industrial brands. The company was born from MIT cross-disciplinary research led by co-founders Wojciech Matusik and Michael Foshey and cites a 2024 paper, "Large Language Models for Design and Manufacturing," as foundational. Foundation EGI says its vision is to turn manufacturing's biggest bottlenecks into breakthroughs and enable AI-native co-design between humans and machines. Financially, the company announced an oversubscribed Series A of $23M, raising over $30M in total. Foundation EGI has launched a proprietary domain-specific large language model and agentic AI platform purpose-built for engineering and manufacturing workflows. The platform interprets complex natural-language instructions, converts them into clean, structured code and machine-executable workflows, and integrates with industry-standard design tools. Early pilots with several unnamed Fortune 500 industrial companies reportedly show reductions in design-to-manufacture cycles, fewer production errors, and faster time-to-market. The company plans to use the new funding to expand engineering and product teams, scale enterprise pilots and onboard new clients, enhance integrations with leading engineering tools, and advance its core LLM to cover more specialized manufacturing domains. Foundation EGI was co-founded by Mok Oh, Ph.D., Professor Wojciech Matusik, and Michael Foshey, and its work was catalyzed by a 2024 MIT paper titled “Large Language Models for Design and Manufacturing.”

The company intends to create easy-to-use workflows and is developing an integrated system for high-throughput screening slated for release in Q1 2021, complementing an existing integrated research system. Its innovations target applications in complex biological systems analysis and, in the longer term, personalized medicine and complex disease diagnostics. Main clients are universities, research institutes and biotechnology companies in Europe and the USA. In January 2021 Droplet Genomics completed a €1M seed round to expand its IP portfolio and accelerate commercialization of new products.

    Passkey Therapeutics is developing a new class of single-drug therapies called Synergistic Multifunctional Therapeutics (SMThs) that are designed to modulate rare combinations of proteins ("Multilogs") that work together. The company uses its proprietary Locksmith computational and experimental platform to analyze large human genetic datasets and identify previously undiscovered protein combinations. SMThs can be engineered as small molecules or biologics, depending on the biology of the disease, and the company says the approach could address cancer, autoimmune, neurodegenerative and metabolic disorders. Passkey emerged from stealth with $20 million in seed funding to advance discovery and program development. The company is progressing an internal pipeline and plans to internally develop SMThs in two distinct therapeutic areas through clinical trials while exploring partnerships in additional areas. The founding team includes CEO Bruce Beutel, Ph.D., and co-leads Soumya Ray, Ph.D., and Will Chen, Ph.D.

    Plotlogic develops OreSense®, a patented sensor stack that uses AI to scan core samples, chips and terrain in real time — including mine faces, stockpiles, heavy vehicle loads and plant feed — to produce ore-characterization predictions. Its technology is used to increase output and reduce waste. Named customers include BHP, Vale, South32 and Pilbara Minerals. The company says it has emerged as a global leader in ore characterization in the five years since its founding. Plotlogic plans to use the Series B proceeds to accelerate commercialization, broaden its platform across more touchpoints, expand into North America, and invest in additional R&D. The CEO framed the technology as central to supplying critical minerals for a sustainable future while avoiding past environmental damage. Plotlogic builds a multispectral-plus-LiDAR hyperspectral imaging system (OreSense) that performs spectral analysis on ore to identify and map minerals in situ. The system can be stationary or mobile, scanning ore on conveyor belts or traveling on treads into locations unsafe for people, and is designed to fit into existing mining processes. Plotlogic first deployed OreSense in 2019 and has iterated the product with feedback from major mining companies. By embedding spectral analysis on-site, the company removes the need to send samples to labs and provides real-time information to mine staff, improving operational efficiency. CEO Andrew Job highlights three types of benefits: financial, environmental sustainability (less waste and emissions) and safety, and suggests the technology could help usher in autonomous mining. The company was founded in 2018 in Brisbane, Australia and plans to expand commercial deployments and begin working internationally following its recent fundraise.
