  • Antenna

    Participated · Series A · Oct 2022

Antenna provides market intelligence and analytics that report KPIs and reveal subscriber behavior across the streaming ecosystem and broader subscription economy. Its product helps subscription brands evaluate performance against peers and surface competitor subscriber activity. The company says it was originally conceived to serve streaming but has expanded to cover recurring direct relationships across many categories. In 2021 Antenna more than doubled its client base, tripled its team, and quadrupled its revenue. Looking ahead, Antenna plans to model its market-level data onto clients’ CRM records to enable more personalized, privacy-compliant experiences. The company also plans to ramp up hiring to support product and commercial expansion.

  • Checkmate

    Participated · Seed · Sep 2022

Checkmate offers a free iPhone app (with a Safari mobile extension and desktop availability) that pulls shopping into one place, finds promo codes, extracts codes from email, and provides live order updates and package tracking. The app claims to save users money across 40,000 online stores and to find discounts that deliver “2x more than the competition.” The company reports rapid user growth, hitting No. 1 in the Apple App Store late last year and surpassing over 400,000 users, including 60,000 daily active users, plus 600,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram. Checkmate monetizes via an affiliate model, taking roughly 1%–7% of a purchase depending on retailer and item. Founded in late 2021 by Harry Dixon (CEO), Rory Garton-Smith (CTO) and Elliot Rampono, the team says it plans to build a personalized end-to-end shopping assistant and evolve into a marketing platform for large online stores. Checkmate provides a dashboard that aggregates discount codes, gift cards and personalized offers from users' inboxes and auto-applies them at checkout, and it creates a ‘ghost email inbox’ to tap into mailing lists without spamming users' primary inboxes. The product also includes package tracking and gift card management. Checkmate monetizes by being remunerated by brands for converting purchases and positions itself as a conversion engine for retailers. The company launched its product over the summer with 200 customers and has grown to over 1,000 users; customers use the product about five times per week and save on average 27% on orders. The team plans to deploy the new funding into product development, customer growth, and additional brand partnerships, and has launched an ambassador program across 10 colleges. Founders Harry Dixon, Rory Garton-Smith and Elliot Rampono are leading the company’s expansion efforts.

  • Pogo

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2022

Pogo operates an AI-enabled research platform and consumer app that verifies purchases through SKU-level transaction data to connect brands with actual buyers. Founded in 2020, the company reports more than 3 million opted-in U.S. users and visibility into 1 in 150 U.S. shopping trips, representing over $470 billion in transaction value. Its platform supports AI-moderated video interviews, quantitative surveys, and always-on behavioral triggers, delivering transcripts and insights within hours. Dozens of major consumer brands, consulting firms, and investment funds are reported users of the platform. Pogo’s app has been recognized by Newsweek as the top loyalty app in the United States for two consecutive years, and users earn money by sharing card transactions, receipts, app usage, and location visits. The company positions its verified data as a solution to survey fraud and unreliable respondents in traditional consumer research.

  • Givebutter

    Participated · Seed · Jun 2022

Givebutter began in a George Washington University dorm room in 2016 and builds a CRM platform to centralize nonprofit fundraising tools. The product bundles marketing resources, donor tracking, fundraising tools for multiple strategies, and payment processing. Nonprofits can use Givebutter for free if campaigns include a donation to Givebutter, or pay a 1%–5% platform fee. The company says it works with more than 35,000 nonprofits and has processed over $1 billion in donations. Givebutter is profitable and has largely grown with almost zero marketing spend. The company plans to use new capital for marketing to scale as momentum in nonprofit-focused startups increases. Givebutter provides a free fundraising OS that bundles donation forms, campaigns, events, donor management (CRM), email, and texting for nonprofits. The platform replaces multiple categories of tools and operates on a 100% transparent tip-or-fee model instead of a traditional SaaS subscription. Givebutter has powered more than $300M in donations for over a million changemakers worldwide. Co‑founded by Max Friedman, Liran Cohen, and Ari Krasner, the company offers a broad suite of free fundraising tools. It plans to launch a new auction solution later this year and will use new capital to accelerate product innovation across its toolset. Givebutter was also accepted into the second cohort of Hyper, an accelerator backed by Sequoia and Andreessen Horowitz.
