Founded in 2017 by Maitrai Maka and Shekhar and based in Bengaluru, Rekise Marine develops autonomy software and designs, builds and integrates autonomous surface and subsurface vessels. Its portfolio includes Jalkapi, an extra large autonomous underwater vehicle developed under the Indian Navy’s iDEX ADITI programme, Jaldoot (an autonomous surface vessel delivered to customers), Swadheen (an autonomous survey vessel that completed fully autonomous open sea trials), and a man-portable autonomous underwater vehicle undergoing trials. Rekise works with premier shipyards such as Goa Shipyard Limited and GRSE Limited to build and integrate platforms and says its software platform can power vessels across classes with minimal reconfiguration. The company serves naval, coast guard and commercial maritime missions and is expanding its engineering capabilities in robotics, AI/ML, embedded systems, platform systems integration and naval architecture. Financially, Rekise has raised $9.7 million in the described seed round after previously securing $4.72 million from Singularity AMC and others.
