Union Avatars provides a platform for digital identity and the creation of avatars in different styles, including hyperrealistic avatars, aimed at use in social networks, virtual worlds and gamification. The company was founded in 2020 by Cai Felip and Jordi Conejero and is participated by Inveready. Mango StartUp Studio has invested in Union Avatars via a convertible participating loan and admitted the company into its accelerator program. As part of the program, Union Avatars will receive mentorship and advice from Mango professionals on market knowledge and technology applied to its business model. Mango will also explore pilot projects to develop hyperrealistic avatars for use across stages of Mango’s value chain. The accelerator aims to help the startup scale its business model and access Mango’s operational know-how. Union Avatars builds avatar solutions that let companies and individual users have a digital representation across video games, social networks, virtual reality worlds and gamification. The startup is developing tools to manage digital identities and is integrating avatars into blockchain/Web3 to enable cross‑platform portability. It plans to launch UnionID, a digital identity project intended to provide secure identification and give users control over their privacy and data. Union Avatars says UnionID will allow users to log in to different platforms and carry digital assets between them while maintaining privacy.
