케어닥 launched in 2018 as an app-based caregiver matching service and has expanded into homecare services, visiting long-term care centers, and senior housing. The company operates a combined care business covering both insured and uninsured services and has surpassed KRW 150 billion in cumulative transaction volume as of November. Its long-term care division recorded a 1,000% revenue increase and turned profitable after 18 months of operation. 케어닥 is rolling out a new residential care product, “케어닥 케어홈,” with a second location opening next month and a plan for 30 facilities by next year. The firm is partnering with multiple construction and development firms (HDC아이앤콘스, 기린종합건설, STS개발) and preparing joint-venture senior-town projects with major corporate shareholders including Lotte Hotel. 케어닥 aims to build a nationwide caregiver supply network and secure up to 20,000 senior housing units by 2030.

LC Square, founded in 2019 in South Korea, develops Micro LED technologies including laser-induced forward transfer (LIFT), full-color (RGB) Micro LED interposer technology, and Micro LED bonding. The company has established an interposer production line and its team includes members from the Korea nanotechnology research institute, Samsung Electronics (semiconductor, video display and network divisions), and Lumens. In July the company completed a B-round financing of ₩166 billion, which it says will be used to build a full mass-production system. LC Square plans to begin producing Micro LED interposers for TVs and wearable devices next year and then expand into XR devices. Management says the financing validates the company’s technological capabilities and the growth potential of the Micro LED market, and will help solidify its leading position and rapid global growth.
