Hailia develops resource-efficient seafood processing technology that transforms underutilised fish raw materials into high-value ready-to-eat products. The company launched its first commercial product, “pulled rainbow trout,” in 2024 with Kalavapriikki and S-Group and has rolled out products for food service and industrial kitchens in collaboration with Hätälä. Hailia licenses its equipment and technology to international fish processors and holds exclusive rights to use the technology in seafood applications. The firm says its approach can increase human-consumption use of fish by 20–40%, supporting lower-carbon protein production as seafood demand grows. Strategic partnerships with processor Kalavapriikki and engineering provider Dana Technology underpin its plans to scale manufacturing and expand international licensing.
