  • Klaim

    Led · Seed · Nov 2022

Klaim builds proprietary, AI-powered funding technology that enables healthcare providers to receive payment on insurance claims within 24 hours instead of the typical 30–120-day reimbursement cycle. The platform analyzes submitted claims, buys qualifying receivables, and handles reconciliation and payor follow-up, giving clinics and hospitals certainty of payment and reducing administrative burden. Founded by Karim Dakki and Ghafoor Ahmad, Klaim currently operates across the Middle East and is now expanding into the United States. Through a forthcoming co-branded Payment Acceleration Service with Claritev, Klaim plans to offer scalable access to liquidity for small practices, large hospitals, and multi-specialty networks in both the U.S. and MENA regions. The company also intends to undertake a global restructuring that will unite its Middle East entity (Klaim Holdings Limited) with Klaim, Inc. under a single holding company. By focusing on freeing up working capital, Klaim aims to strengthen financial resilience for healthcare providers and let them focus on patient care.

Amitruck aims to scale its logistics marketplace across Kenya and the broader East African market. Amitruck is a Kenyan logistics startup founded in 2018 by Mark and Timothy Mwangi that operates a mobile- and web-based trucking logistics platform. GreenTec Capital has invested in Amitruck and described the startup as having demonstrated "impressive traction" and a strong team. GreenTec company builder Maxime Bayen said Amitruck’s solution can tackle fragmentation and lack of trust in African logistics and enable capacity growth by increasing driver and truck owner accessibility to the broader market.
