The company says it is building a European mobile bank and plans to broaden its product portfolio with cards, peer-to-peer loans, and other loan products while expanding across Europe. Bynk launched in 2017 (about 18 months before the article) and has been growing quickly since. Financially, Bynk received €48 million in equity funding from Schibsted and LMK Industri, bringing its valuation to €190 million and giving Schibsted a 32% stake. The company intends to use the capital to build its brand and release new products.

Zaplox is a Lund, Sweden–based developer of a system that remotely controls door locks via a mobile phone. Founded in 2010 and led by CEO Stefan Gripwall and CTO Lars Tilly, the company has developed and patented technology that locks or unlocks doors using the standard mobile network. Its core product is a mobile key platform intended for hotels, offices and the home segment. Zaplox intends to use the newly raised funds to further develop its products and services based on mobile keys. The company raised SEK10m in funding in the announced round. Backers in the round include Industrifonden and LMK Venture.
