  • Ramp Network

    Participated · Seed · Jun 2021

Ramp Network, founded in 2018 and based in London, offers payment infrastructure to bridge crypto and traditional finance. Its product allows users to buy crypto without leaving their dApp or wallet and helps companies increase conversion. The company plans to invest the new capital into its product line, add local fiat currencies and payment methods, expand into new territories, and continue hiring talent. Ramp raised $70M in a Series B that brought its total fundraising to $122.7m over the past 12 months. The business was founded by Sypniewicz and Przemek Kowalczyk. Ramp provides a non-custodial, full-stack payment infrastructure that lets businesses embed crypto on- and off-ramps via a simple SDK, avoiding the need to route users through exchanges. The platform is designed to shorten onboarding and reduce verification friction, enabling users to move between Ramp-powered services more quickly. Ramp has partnered with more than 400 developers, including Mozilla, Browser, Dapper Labs, and DeFi apps such as Aave, Argent, Trust Wallet and Zerion, and is the exclusive on-ramping partner for Sorare and Flow. Integrations include Opera browser top-ups and usage by games like Axie Infinity, which cut onboarding time from hours to minutes. The company has regulatory approvals from the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority and U.S. FinCEN, and in 2020 received an open banking license from Poland’s KNF. Ramp has raised a total of $63 million to date and aims to ultimately enable banks and financial institutions to offer crypto transactions inside their banking apps. Ramp builds a non-custodial, full-stack payment infrastructure and SDK that enables brands and partners to offer crypto-enabled services without needing their own licenses. The platform is registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority as a cryptoasset business and with Poland’s KNF as an open banking business. Ramp’s technology is embedded by more than 200 developers and partners, including Mozilla, Opera Labs, Dapper Labs, Sorare, Aave, Argent and Zerion. Use cases today include wallet top-ups inside the Opera browser and in-game NFT transactions on Sorare; the company says it could expand into bank apps and other mainstream financial services. Ramp has worked with Alior Bank to learn cooperation with a major bank and plans to expand into new regions, add registrations and licences, and further develop its platform. The company intends to grow its partner network and triple its team by the end of 2021.

  • EverythingMe

    Participated · Series C · Nov 2012

Everything.me provides a dynamic, HTML5-based mobile platform that surfaces relevant apps and content on demand, blending native apps and the mobile web. Its visual, button-style search discovers content across installed apps and the web, and the company offers an iPhone app and an Android beta.
