  • Alta

    Participated · Seed · Jan 2022

Alta builds virtual reality metaverse experiences and is best known for A Township Tale, a VR open-world RPG. The company relies heavily on procedural generation to create large-scale virtual worlds from algorithmic and human-authored assets. Its flagship game launched on Oculus Quest 2, spent more than seven weeks at No. 1 on the Oculus charts, and produced strong engagement metrics. Alta reports a tenfold increase in revenue since its early days and currently has about 500,000 users. The funding will be used to develop proprietary content and IP, expand the team, and position the game for new platforms. Alta operates from offices in Sydney and San Francisco and plans to expand into more countries in Europe and Asia. The company intends to raise another round as early as this year to grow headcount globally.

  • Monarc Global

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2019

Monarc Global, founded in 2017 by Royce Crown, offers a white‑label booking plugin that automates quoting and enables real‑time search, comparison and payment for private aircraft charters. The software gives operators a system comparable to commercial Global Distribution Systems to streamline availability and pricing. The company reports a conversion rate of roughly one flight per 15 quotes and has grown to a team of 13. Monarc says it now has more than 350 operators on the platform, including Avcair, Global Jet and Navair. With the platform Monarc aims to reduce broker margins and long wait times, positioning private travel as a practical alternative to commercial flights. The broader Australian charter industry is cited at $1.2 billion in value and growing modestly.
