  • Nutual

    Participated · Equity · Apr 2023

Nutual offers a senior-focused product that enables older homeowners to release housing equity while remaining in their homes, addressing demographic pressures and pension fragility. The company is also developing an end-to-end platform for home buyers to search, analyze, finance and manage all transaction steps. Nutual uses artificial intelligence and location intelligence to estimate current and future property values, reduce associated costs, and recommend market options. Founded in 2021, the startup has analyzed real-estate operations totaling more than €425 million to date. The recent financing will support continued expansion, the creation of in-house R&D&I lines, and consolidation of the company’s position in the real-estate market. Nutual is in advanced negotiations with several major European banks to offer buyer-specific solutions such as down-payment assistance.

  • Braingaze

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2014

Braingaze develops diagnostic and therapeutic products that combine patented biomarkers of ocular micromovements, casual video games, and deep-learning algorithms. Its diagnostic solutions aim to deliver cutting-edge accuracy and objectivity for conditions such as ADHD, Alzheimer’s disease, and autism spectrum disorder. The company’s therapeutic offering, including BGaze Therapy — an eye-movement attention-training game — has been tested in clinics and shown promising improvements in cognitive function beyond behavioral training, reportedly mimicking pharmacological effects without side effects. Braingaze’s ADHD diagnostic tools have been used in clinical practice in Spain by pioneering physicians in Madrid and Barcelona. The company plans to use the new funding to accelerate clinical and commercial development, launch clinical solutions, and expand access to consumers via mobile platforms. CEO Laszlo Bax said the team is focused on executing the milestones ahead and growing multi-market business traction. Braingaze develops next-generation eye-tracking software that predicts and identifies personal behaviour for clinical and commercial applications. The company is building several applications, including tools for diagnosing ADHD, analysing consumer preference, and aiding video game navigation. New funding will be used primarily for R&D, product development, patent expansion, regulatory compliance, and to develop a clinical trial programme in Europe and the US. Braingaze recently secured €336K of public and private capital in its first pre-seed round. The seven-person team has moved into larger offices within the Tecnocampus Mataró incubator near Barcelona. Founders Laszlo Bax and Hans Super also increased their investment at the same valuation offered to new investors.
