- Emesent
Participated · Equity · Jul 2026
Emesent develops sensors that attach to drones and pairs them with autonomous AI and 3D mapping software to survey areas without GPS. Its technology has been adopted by major mining customers including BHP and Rio Tinto, and the company serves customers across Australia, the US and Europe. Construction and mining have been its primary use cases, and it has recently moved to pursue defence reconnaissance opportunities. Emesent operates a manufacturing plant in Wacol, Queensland and plans to scale capacity to meet rising demand. The company had a $32 million Series A in 2022 backed by Tiger Global and Perennial Partners, and currently employs 109 people with plans to add 20 more roles following the new raise.
- DeepWay
Participated · Equity · Apr 2026
Founded in July 2020 by Baidu and the Lionbridge Group, DeepWay designs and manufactures electric heavy trucks built from the ground up for autonomous operation. The company received Baidu’s license to use and build on Apollo open-source self-driving technology and combines that with Lionbridge’s logistics experience and data. DeepWay says it has realized mass production and delivery of intelligent electric trucks and generates operational planning and control data from deployed vehicles to train and improve its driver-assistance and autonomous systems. It follows a three-step strategy: electrification and scaling (vehicle sales and data generation), deployment of intelligence (mass-produced L2 assistance sold via subscription and series-produced L4 convoy systems operating in regions such as Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang), and building a global unmanned freight network with partnerships in six core overseas markets. The company has attracted a wide mix of investors—including provincial and municipal state funds, industrial corporate capital, top VCs, and recent overseas investors—to support commercialization and international expansion. DeepWay filed for a Hong Kong IPO in November 2025 and used the latest Pre-IPO financing (over $310 million) to accelerate self-driving R&D and global commercial rollout.
- Oricell Therapeutics
Participated · Equity · Apr 2026
Oricell leverages a proprietary technology triad—Ori®Ab antibody discovery, Ori®Armoring T-cell enhancement, and OnGo CMC rapid manufacturing—to develop a diversified pipeline of cell therapies targeting solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Its lead asset, Ori-C101, is a GPC3-targeted autologous CAR-T for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma that has completed investigator-initiated trials and a registrational Phase 1 and is preparing for pivotal trials, with clinical readouts highlighted at major forums including ASCO. Another core candidate, OriCAR-017, advanced from IIT in China to global development, securing IND approvals from China NMPA and the US FDA as well as FDA Orphan Drug and Fast Track designations. Oricell has presented data at multiple global conferences (including ASCO and EHA) and published results in The Lancet Haematology. The company states the programs have demonstrated favorable safety and robust efficacy in IIT and registrational trials, supporting its global regulatory and clinical strategy.
- Cauldron Ferm
Participated · Series A · Mar 2026
Cauldron Ferm applies continuous or "hyper" fermentation to turn microbes into uninterrupted production lines for compounds such as fats and proteins, including whey protein. Its technology is designed to work in existing batch fermenters with modest facility modifications, and Cauldron works with customers who bring their own microbial strains while the company optimizes growth conditions and nutrients. The company evolved from decades of work by David and Polly McLennan and was transformed into a startup after Michele Stansfield joined in 2012 and acquired the business’s IP and assets. Cauldron has indicated it is expanding beyond food ingredients and aiming to diversify the set of products it can produce. Financially, the company has raised a $13.25 million Series A2 and previously raised $6.5 million in 2024 to support technology development and commercialization efforts.
- Gilmour Space Technologies
Participated · Equity · Jan 2026
Gilmour Space Technologies is a Queensland-based launch vehicle and satellite manufacturer focused on providing domestic and international access to space. Its core product is the Eris small launch vehicle, which completed an inaugural flight in July but failed 14 seconds after liftoff due to an engine issue the team is now addressing. The company also manufactures spacecraft and placed its first satellite, ElaraSat, into orbit via a SpaceX rideshare mission in June 2025. Fueled by rising demand for sovereign launch capabilities, the firm intends to scale production of both rockets and satellites while preparing a second Eris launch attempt targeted for 2026. Management reports a workforce of more than 220 employees and plans to hire aggressively with new capital. The latest raise pushes Gilmour’s valuation above US$1 billion, making it Australia’s first space-technology “unicorn.”
