  • Emesent

    Participated · Equity · Jul 2026

Emesent develops sensors that attach to drones and pairs them with autonomous AI and 3D mapping software to survey areas without GPS. Its technology has been adopted by major mining customers including BHP and Rio Tinto, and the company serves customers across Australia, the US and Europe. Construction and mining have been its primary use cases, and it has recently moved to pursue defence reconnaissance opportunities. Emesent operates a manufacturing plant in Wacol, Queensland and plans to scale capacity to meet rising demand. The company had a $32 million Series A in 2022 backed by Tiger Global and Perennial Partners, and currently employs 109 people with plans to add 20 more roles following the new raise.

  • Brainomix

    Led · Series C · Feb 2026

Brainomix is a University of Oxford spin-out that builds AI medical-imaging software, most notably its fully automated Brainomix 360 Stroke platform for acute stroke assessment and its 360 e-Lung technology that uses CT biomarkers to detect and monitor fibrosing lung disease. The company’s solutions are FDA-cleared, deployed in more than 20 countries, and aim to increase endovascular thrombectomy rates while reducing treatment delays. With offices in the UK, Ireland and the USA, Brainomix already maintains U.S. operations and plans to accelerate hospital roll-outs there. The firm positions its products as workflow-integrated tools that deliver consistent, point-of-care support regardless of local expertise. New capital will be directed toward bolstering customer support, speeding product enhancements, and widening U.S. market penetration. Brainomix cites rigorous clinical validation and real-world evidence underpinning its technology. To date, the company has attracted backing from health- and deep-tech investors focused on AI and life-science innovation.

  • Gilmour Space Technologies

    Led · Equity · Jan 2026

Gilmour Space Technologies is a Queensland-based launch vehicle and satellite manufacturer focused on providing domestic and international access to space. Its core product is the Eris small launch vehicle, which completed an inaugural flight in July but failed 14 seconds after liftoff due to an engine issue the team is now addressing. The company also manufactures spacecraft and placed its first satellite, ElaraSat, into orbit via a SpaceX rideshare mission in June 2025. Fueled by rising demand for sovereign launch capabilities, the firm intends to scale production of both rockets and satellites while preparing a second Eris launch attempt targeted for 2026. Management reports a workforce of more than 220 employees and plans to hire aggressively with new capital. The latest raise pushes Gilmour’s valuation above US$1 billion, making it Australia’s first space-technology “unicorn.”

  • Rage Biotech

    Led · Series A · Nov 2025

RAGE Biotech emerged from the School of Translational Medicine at Monash University and focuses on splice-switching oligonucleotide therapeutics aimed at the receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE), a key driver of inflammatory responses and tissue injury. Its lead candidate, RB042, is being developed for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and related inflammatory lung conditions. By harnessing a naturally occurring RAGE inhibitor produced in the lungs, the company seeks to block RAGE activation and thereby reduce inflammation and tissue damage. The newly raised funds will support advancing RB042 into first-in-human clinical studies and broaden the pipeline into additional inflammatory indications. RAGE Biotech’s strategy leverages Monash University’s research strengths and innovation ecosystem to translate academic discoveries into clinical applications. The A$29 million Series A provides the capital required for early clinical testing and further program expansion. No revenue or patient metrics have yet been disclosed, reflecting the company’s pre-clinical stage.

  • OXCCU

    Participated · Series B · Sep 2025

Founded in 2021, OXCCU is developing proprietary catalysts and reactor designs that directly hydrogenate CO₂ to create hydrocarbon syncrude branded as OXFUEL, which can be refined into jet-fuel-grade SAF. Its single-step, iron-based Fischer-Tropsch process eliminates the RWGS stage and reduces hydrogen demand, promising lower capital and operating costs than competing e-fuel pathways. The company operates from Begbroke Science Park and London Oxford Airport, where its OX1 demonstration plant was validated in 2024. OXCCU is positioning OXFUEL to help the UK meet its target of 10% SAF in jet fuel by 2030 and is now researching how its fuel can limit non-CO₂ warming effects such as soot-induced contrail formation. Financially, the start-up secured €20.6 million of initial funding in June 2023, followed by a €23.7 million round in September 2025, and most recently obtained a €2 million grant from the ATI Non-CO₂ Programme. These funds support technology scale-up, commercial deployment and climate-impact validation, underscoring OXCCU’s emergence as a leading UK climate-tech innovator.
