Regimmune focuses on discovery, development and commercialization of immune regulatory therapeutics to treat allergies, autoimmune diseases and complications of transplantation. Its proprietary reVax platform induces immune tolerance in an antigen-specific manner via pharmacological induction of regulatory T (Treg) cells. The company completed a Phase I study of RGI-2001 for graft-versus-host disease and has initiated a Phase II trial of RGI-2001. Regimmune is developing multiple pipeline programs including the RGI-1000 series for allergy, the RGI-3100 series for type 1 diabetes, products to prevent inhibitor formation in enzyme replacement therapies, and a celiac disease program with undisclosed partners. Led by Haru Morita, the company has operations in Tokyo and a US presence in San Francisco. It intends to use the proceeds from the recent financing to support early-stage product development.
