- Hybrid Greentech
Led · Equity · Feb 2026
Founded in 2018, Copenhagen-based Hybrid Greentech provides a cloud-based virtual power plant (VPP) platform that connects energy storage systems, renewable generation, and other flexible assets. The vertically integrated stack combines trading, multi-market optimisation, real-time analytics, and settlement, enabling asset owners to maximise revenues while reducing unnecessary battery cycling. The platform supports standalone, co-located, and behind-the-meter battery configurations and aggregates distributed resources such as EV and household batteries to bolster local grid stability. Current EU projections of a 60% rise in electricity demand by 2030 underpin the need for the company’s technology, which aims to save billions in grid upgrade costs. Hybrid Greentech already works with major Danish renewable operators and plans to use new capital to accelerate customer acquisition in additional European markets and integrate with more power exchanges. By simplifying permitting, certification, and regulatory compliance, the company seeks to shorten project-to-market timelines and scale its VPP services rapidly.
- Additive Drives
Led · Equity · Feb 2026
Founded in 2020, Dresden-based Additive Drives combines proprietary 3D-printing with conventional manufacturing to produce lightweight, magnet-free electric motors that reach up to 98 % efficiency, surpassing the IEC’s IE5 benchmark and approaching IE7 performance. The technology lowers overall energy loss by roughly 70 %, delivers class-leading thrust-to-weight ratios, and can be prototyped in as little as 21 days. Its products address energy-intensive markets such as e-mobility, aerospace, robotics, data centres and quantum computing. Additive Drives counts Amazon, Airbus, Audi, Schaeffler and BMW among its customers and claims to have been cash-positive early in its life. By eliminating rare-earth magnets, the company also reduces supply-chain risk while supporting European industrial sovereignty. Management is led by founders Philipp Arnold, Axel Helm and Dr. Jakob Jung. The firm positions itself as a scalable enabler of Europe’s broader electrification and sustainability agendas.
- Stabl Energy
Participated · Equity · Aug 2023
Stabl Energy is a Munich-based green tech start-up that gives used EV batteries a second life while providing commercial energy storage. Its technology enables battery modules with different states of health to be interconnected, regardless of how heavily individual batteries were stressed. This modular interconnection approach allows mixed-condition battery modules to work together in storage systems. The company has raised €15 million in a funding round to advance its battery storage innovation. New investor Nordic Alpha Partners and the European Innovation Council joined existing backers UVC Partners (via its Unternehmertum VC Fund III) and Energie 360 Grad’s Smart Energy Innovation Fund. Co-CEO Dr. Nam Truong said the new partnerships are an important milestone to drive the energy transition through Stabl’s battery storage technology.
