  • Alotta

    Participated · Equity · Oct 2025

Alotta focuses on replacing diesel-powered generators at remote fish-farming sites with its floating solar technology. The company recently signed a 15-year power purchase agreement to deliver renewable electricity to Mowi Chile’s salmon-farming facility at Huar Norte in the Los Lagos region. Alotta maintains a dual business model: technology development and delivery through the Alotta brand, and power sales via the subsidiary Alotta Energy. Management highlights the systems’ reliability and low noise as key advantages for aquaculture operators. With Chile being the world’s second-largest salmon producer—with more than 600 farms that collectively burn over 60 million litres of diesel per year—Alotta sees significant expansion potential. Proceeds from its latest financing will fund the build-out of international operations, with Chile as the initial focus market.

  • Looping

    Led · Equity · Feb 2024

Looping produces durable, reusable transport packaging, with its first product Modulcover tailored to contractor, housing, and steel modules. Founded in 2017 and based in Oslo, the company offers reuse-as-a-service to make circular packaging cost-efficient and to eliminate disposable plastic. Looping says its solution can reduce time spent on packaging and disassembly by up to 75 per cent. The company works with clients including Ramirent, CRAMO, and Algeco and has eliminated over 100 tons of single-use plastic to date. Looping currently operates in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and the Baltics and plans to introduce Modulcover to Germany and the Benelux. Fredrik Wahl was appointed chair of the board as part of the new ownership structure to support growth.

  • Inseanergy

    Led · Equity · Feb 2024

Inseanergy delivers turnkey floating solar cell systems, installing floating solar panels on recycled fish cages to supply green energy to the aquaculture sector. The company has established early customers including Hofseth, Ode, and Bjørøya and emphasizes rapid deployment in sites lacking renewable infrastructure. It aims to target island states and remote regions that currently rely on diesel generators and to scale internationally with investor support. Over the next three years Inseanergy plans to develop and deliver zero-emission systems to make fish farms self-sufficient in energy. The firm highlights a billion-dollar market in salmon and trout farming alone and says the broader global floating-solar market is substantially larger. A recent USD 3 million funding round from strategic investors is intended to support product maturation and international scaling.

  • Beefutures

    Led · Seed · May 2023

Beefutures develops digital beekeeping technology that combines healing and defense solutions with robotics, automation and AI-powered visual and audio monitoring to improve bee health and reverse colony collapse. Its product suite includes Onibi Watch, which uses honey bees as biosensors, Onibi Insights, and Onibi Base. Onibi Watch monitors bee behavior to evaluate how resilient or susceptible environments are to climate incidents and human activities, and transforms that data into actionable insights. The company positions its tools to optimize beekeeping operations and economics while promoting pollinator-friendly practices and sustainable farming. Founded in 2019 by Christophe Brod and based in Oslo, Norway, Beefutures says its mission is to make a positive impact on the beekeeping and pollination industry and broader biodiversity.

  • Tau Tech

    Led · Equity · Jan 2022

Tau Tech developed a seabed-friendly harvesting technology over a five-year research project with SINTEF and in cooperation with the Institute of Marine Research, the Directorate of Fisheries and other marine experts. The patented and authority-tested system can identify, select and sort shells without destroying surrounding vegetation or life, providing access to previously inaccessible seabed resources. In 2022 Tau Tech was awarded an annual quota of 15,000 tonnes for Arctic scallops for the next five years and plans to reopen commercial scallop harvesting in Norway. The company estimates that the Norwegian scallop population alone could support annual export revenues exceeding €50 million and generate employment for hundreds. Tau Tech is working to adapt the method to other seabed-dwelling species and pursue international opportunities to scale the technology. Its commercialization push is supported by recent funding and credit arrangements to enable commercial-scale harvesting.
