- Plasana Medical
Participated · Equity · Oct 2025
Plasana Medical, born out of the Laboratoire de physique des plasmas of École polytechnique and the CNRS, is building Plasana One, a proprietary multi-jet cold-plasma device designed to stimulate tissue regeneration while limiting infection risk in chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous ulcers and pressure sores. The treatment is positioned to be six-to-twelve times faster and painless, targeting a 30–50 % reduction in healing time and enabling home-care use for the roughly 10 million patients affected in Europe and the United States. Backed by more than ten years of academic research and support from TechnoFounders, the company plans to complete its first French clinical trial (Plasana Genesis) and secure CE marking by 2026, followed by U.S. market entry. Commercial launch of its first product is expected within two years. Financially, Plasana has just secured €4 million in mixed financing (equity, grants and bank loans) to fund these milestones. No revenue or user metrics have been disclosed to date, and the company remains pre-commercial with its focus on product validation and regulatory clearance.
- KohortPay
Participated · Equity · Apr 2024
KohortPay builds an in-checkout referral system that issues a shareable promo code to shoppers at the point of purchase; the code can be used by friends within seven days to unlock discounts and increase the buyer's reward. When a referred friend buys, the merchant reimburses the original buyer the agreed promotion directly to their bank card. The solution integrates on merchant sites in about three minutes and charges a fixed fee per buyer acquired plus a commission on the basket; merchants only pay if the solution generates customers. KohortPay targets large retailers and digital-native vertical brands and claims customer acquisition costs up to two times lower than campaigns on Google or Meta. Founded in early 2022 and described as a French ('tricolore') startup, it is led by co-founders Thomas Andrews and Martin Souriau. Short-term commercial objectives include signing around twenty contracts by June 2024; the company recently completed a €1.2M fundraising that includes part debt from Bpifrance.
