- FiberCraze
Participated · Seed · Aug 2023
FiberCraze commercializes a porousization technology for fibers and films developed from Gifu University research; the process creates tens-of-nanometers-scale pores to control component retention, particle permeability, and liquid separation. Its product pipeline includes insect-repellent and moisturizing functional fibers, antiviral materials, and porous films for liquid adsorption and separation, intended for medical, bio, and industrial uses. The company sells material samples and offers R&D and contract development manufacturing. Founded in September 2021 and headquartered in Gifu, FiberCraze positions itself to scale its core porous-process across multiple applications. The firm says it will use recent funding to hire executive and development talent and to build prototype equipment to move the porous process toward pilot and pre-mass-production stages. Investors also plan to support the company as part of regional technology development and ecosystem building.
