  Therapixel develops MammoScreen, an AI-powered software system that assists interpretation of screening 2D and 3D (tomosynthesis) mammograms by signaling a score that indicates level of suspicion. The company holds two FDA regulatory clearances in the United States for both 2D and 3D mammography and is being deployed across large networks of breast cancer screening clinics. Therapixel’s software aims to confirm certain lesions quickly and speed reading of benign cases to save clinicians time. Led by CEO Matthieu Leclerc-Chalvet and Chief Scientific and Technology Officer and founder Pierre Fillard, the company operates from Nice/Paris, France and Chicago, IL. Therapixel plans to use new funding to accelerate its commercial presence in the United States and to launch additional features for MammoScreen. Therapixel is described as a world leader in artificial intelligence applied to radiology and was created in 2013. The company is developing an AI-based service to assist radiologists reviewing screening mammography for breast cancer. It is based in Sophia Antipolis and Paris, France. Therapixel raised €5m in a Series A financing to support its growth. The company plans to use the funds to actively recruit new talent and accelerate development. Co-founder Olivier Clatz will transition out after taking a role at the French Innovation Council, and co-founder Pierre Fillard, CTO, has been appointed interim CEO until a new chief executive joins. Therapixel provides a touchless image navigation system for interventional radiology and surgery that lets surgeons access medical images acquired before or during procedures while keeping equipment sterile. The system uses a motion sensor positioned on top of the screen to transform hand gestures into control commands. The company was founded in 2013 by Olivier Clatz and Pierre Fillard as a spin-off from Inria Sophia. Therapixel is based in Sophia Antipolis and Paris, France. It raised funding to support increased commercialization and internationalization efforts.
