IT-Translation
2 rue Simone Iff, Paris, Ile-de-France, 75012, France
Overview
IT-Translation is an investor and co-founder of digital technology start-ups spun off from both public and private research. What makes their business model so unique? They seed start-ups from ideas: they jointly set up the business and provide – at a very early stage - an investment of up to 300,000 euros through the IT-Translation fund. They look at the creation of start-ups through an approach based on ’translation’: they deploy their human and financial resources to ‘translate’ the technology into products or services, and to lead the researcher/entrepreneur into the business world. IT-Translation invests its money and its efforts in start-ups, working together with all innovation stakeholders. Early 2015, four years after IT-Translation got under way, more than 25 start-ups have been incorporated.

- Sim&Cure
Participated · Series A · Dec 2025
Sim&Cure is a med-tech software company dedicated to making neurovascular procedures safer and more effective through personalised simulation technology. Its flagship product, Sim&Size, builds a digital twin of each patient, allowing clinicians to model multiple endovascular treatment scenarios before intervention; the tool has already been used by more than 700 healthcare professionals in over 45 countries to plan upwards of 35,000 procedures. The firm is broadening its offering with Sim&Train, a 3D-printing-based training platform, and Sim&Predict, an AI application that automatically detects cerebral aneurysms on medical images. Partnerships with Siemens Healthineers and Philips aim to integrate these simulation capabilities directly into leading imaging ecosystems. Fresh capital will be channelled into accelerating R&D, expanding the commercial team, and driving international growth, particularly in China and the wider Asia-Pacific region. Although revenue figures were not disclosed, the extensive clinical uptake underscores significant commercial momentum. The company intends to use its growing software portfolio to promote a preventive and personalised approach to aneurysm management worldwide.
- Therapixel
Participated · Series B · May 2022
Therapixel develops MammoScreen, an AI-powered software system that assists interpretation of screening 2D and 3D (tomosynthesis) mammograms by signaling a score that indicates level of suspicion. The company holds two FDA regulatory clearances in the United States for both 2D and 3D mammography and is being deployed across large networks of breast cancer screening clinics. Therapixel’s software aims to confirm certain lesions quickly and speed reading of benign cases to save clinicians time. Led by CEO Matthieu Leclerc-Chalvet and Chief Scientific and Technology Officer and founder Pierre Fillard, the company operates from Nice/Paris, France and Chicago, IL. Therapixel plans to use new funding to accelerate its commercial presence in the United States and to launch additional features for MammoScreen. Therapixel is described as a world leader in artificial intelligence applied to radiology and was created in 2013. The company is developing an AI-based service to assist radiologists reviewing screening mammography for breast cancer. It is based in Sophia Antipolis and Paris, France. Therapixel raised €5m in a Series A financing to support its growth. The company plans to use the funds to actively recruit new talent and accelerate development. Co-founder Olivier Clatz will transition out after taking a role at the French Innovation Council, and co-founder Pierre Fillard, CTO, has been appointed interim CEO until a new chief executive joins. Therapixel provides a touchless image navigation system for interventional radiology and surgery that lets surgeons access medical images acquired before or during procedures while keeping equipment sterile. The system uses a motion sensor positioned on top of the screen to transform hand gestures into control commands. The company was founded in 2013 by Olivier Clatz and Pierre Fillard as a spin-off from Inria Sophia. Therapixel is based in Sophia Antipolis and Paris, France. It raised funding to support increased commercialization and internationalization efforts.
- Cryptosense
Led · Seed · Sep 2014
Cryptosense provides a cryptography management software platform that combines automated analysis across infrastructure and applications to give security teams a real-time, single-dashboard view of how cryptography is being used. The platform scans applications, filesystems, and network protocols and integrates with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. Cryptosense delivers deep visibility and actionable insights to help organizations protect sensitive data, ensure encryption of critical assets, and maintain regulatory compliance. Its software is used by financial institutions and technology companies worldwide. In May 2021 the company raised $4.8M and intends to use the funds to hire senior-level product and engineering staff. It also plans to develop its partner program and further expand operations across the U.S. Cryptosense develops security analysis software for cryptographic infrastructure in large enterprises. Its flagship product, the Cryptosense Analyzer, simulates the actions of a powerful intelligent attacker to detect vulnerabilities in cryptographic systems. The tool is used notably in the financial sector to audit back-office systems such as cash machine networks and interbank payments. The company is a 2013 spin-off from INRIA and is incubated at Agoranov in Paris. Management says recent investment will be used to build development and commercial teams, continue product development with customers, and refine product-market fit. IT-Translation, a co-founder, continues to support the company’s development.
