Garuda Aerospace is India’s leading drone manufacturer and service provider, operating under a Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS) model that delivers affordable, precise, and reliable drone technology across multiple sectors. The company holds six approvals from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and is the first Indian drone startup to earn dual DGCA certifications for both manufacturing and training. Through its DGCA-approved Remote Pilot Training Organization in Chennai and a network of more than 300 Centres of Excellence established with educational institutions, Garuda has already trained and certified over 2,500 drone pilots. It also runs a "Train the Trainer" initiative to expand the pool of qualified instructors, supporting the industry’s growing need for skilled operators. Garuda’s product line spans small and medium drones (under and over 25 kg MTOW) and emphasizes safety, compliance, and accessibility. Brand ambassador and investor Mahendra Singh Dhoni recently completed the company’s DGCA pilot certification, further validating its training platform. In its most recent financing, Garuda was valued at $250 million, underlining strong investor confidence in its growth trajectory.
