- Vee Finance
Participated · Series B · Jan 2023
Vee.Finance is a DeFi cross-chain lending protocol built on Avalanche that provides collateralized loans, liquidity mining, and direct leveraged trading by integrating multiple DEXs. Its smart contracts have been audited by SlowMist and CertiK, and the project scheduled mainnet launch for September 14. The protocol aims to lower the barrier for traditional finance users to access DeFi through friendlier product UX and higher capital efficiency via integrated DEX order books. After the recent financing, Vee.Finance plans to add a limit-order system that traverses integrated DEX order books for automated matching and execution, expand support to additional public chains based on community demand, and integrate decentralized derivatives trading. The team also launched a pre-mainnet airdrop to reward users who tested the Farm feature; the airdrop totals 240,000 VEE and will be distributed to the top 4,000 users by Farm yield (snapshot on Sept 14, 16:00; event began Sept 12, 10:00).
- Web3Auth
Participated · Series A · Jan 2022
Web3Auth builds non-custodial key management and authentication infrastructure for web3 applications and wallets, enabling password-less auth and OAuth logins (Google, Twitter, Discord, Reddit) to simplify blockchain onboarding. It is powered by the open-source Torus Network and aims to eliminate seed phrases by leveraging social accounts and devices users already own. The company supports familiar login flows while still allowing advanced users to connect traditional wallets or key management systems. Web3Auth plans to use new funding to accelerate expansion into decentralized gaming, NFTs and social applications and to increase headcount. Financially, it closed a $13M Series A and has raised $15M total since its 2019 inception. Operatively, more than 300 apps and wallets had selected Web3Auth in 2021 to secure over four million users' private keys, and its user base grew 30x year-over-year.
- PAID Network
Participated · Equity · Jan 2021
PAID Network is a blockchain-powered e-signature contract protocol that enables users to create, sign, and store agreements via web and mobile apps. Its core product is a SMART Agreement DApp combining customizable smart contracts, community-governed arbitration, reputation scoring, and DeFi tools to automate contracting and dispute resolution. The project stores contracts on IPFS/Ethereum (currently operating on the Rinkeby testnet) and is described as powered by Polkadot. PAID launched an MVP in December and has announced an upcoming token generation event (TGE) in January 2021. The team positions the platform to reduce attorney costs, streamline business contracts, and provide end-to-end dispute resolution. Financially, PAID closed a $2 million funding round (the article describes the instrument as "funding") and reports the round was oversubscribed with more than $21 million committed.
