Overview

The Pay It Forward Company was founded with a mission to enable the dreamers, the builders, the change makers - breathing life to critical innovations that bring forth immense impact and financial upside. We pair a technology enabled approach with a flexible mandate and support the full stack, from an idea on the back of a napkin to going public, and the journey in between. We source thesis-aligned investments, incubate companies, facilitate capital formation, recruit talent and get our hands dirty working with founders and business leaders to drive outcomes. We are masters at enabling synergistic relationships between founders, funds, institutions and family offices. Through activating networks of uniquely qualified partners to maximize the probability of success for the products we bring to market. We build and invest in companies that move the ball forward. And when we're right, earn many multiples on investment. We distribute 80% of profits to the partners that make the magic happen, and donate 20% of the profits to outcome-driven nonprofits. We work with family offices, private and public enterprises, institutions and other deep pockets of capital launch and implement holistic and diversified investment strategies across asset classes. We provide end to end back office support across Operations, Finance, Accounting and Legal services. We’ve supported the growth stories of successful venture capital franchises like Deciens Capital and Tribe Capital. We carefully select and prioritize strengthening one franchise at a time. We believe that life is truly lived when working on problems limiting humanity to extend human capacity. That playing the long game is a lost art, and we are patient capital in search of the most meaningful outcomes. We believe in the power of great karma—the idea that when you build things that matter and treat people with integrity and kindness, you not only make the world better for others; you also make it better for yourself.

  • NEXT Life Sciences

    Participated · Seed · Jan 2024

NEXT Life Sciences is developing Plan A™, a device-based, non-hormonal male contraceptive that places a biocompatible Vasalgel® hydrogel in the vas deferens to block sperm flow. Plan A™ is designed to provide up to 10 years of pregnancy prevention while remaining reversible via a dissolving procedure. NEXT acquired the worldwide license to Vasalgel® in 2022 and has since optimized the technology toward clinical development. The company plans to start clinical trials for Plan A™ in 2024 and intends to pursue FDA marketing authorization following trials. NEXT’s leadership includes experienced executives and clinicians from medical device and contraceptive fields. Financially, the company recently received a $400K grant from the Male Contraceptive Initiative and completed a prior fundraising round led by Bolt.com founder Ryan Breslow and The Family with participation from Transform VC and angel and early-stage venture investors. NEXT Life Sciences, based in Los Angeles, is a medical device company developing Plan A, a non-hormonal, long-acting, reversible on-demand male contraceptive. Plan A's design utilizes a hydrogel (Vasalgel®) that acts as a flexible filter to block sperm flow in the vas deferens. NEXT acquired the exclusive worldwide license for Vasalgel® in 2022 and aims to advance the technology through FDA authorization and to market. The company plans to start clinical trials for Plan A in 2024, followed by submission to the FDA. NEXT announced an oversubscribed $2.5M funding round led by The Family, bringing total seed funding to date to $4M. Ryan Breslow has joined as a strategic advisor, and NEXT says its executive team has prior leadership experience in medical device and contraceptive commercialization. NEXT Life Sciences is developing Plan A™, a reversible male contraceptive that uses Vasalgel®, a proprietary hydrogel the company acquired. The Plan A procedure is similar to a no‑scalpel vasectomy but inserts a hydrogel filter to block sperm flow rather than cutting the vas deferens. Preclinical studies showed rapid restoration of sperm flow after Vasalgel® was dissolved and flushed from the vas deferens. The company raised $1.55M in seed funding to support development and commercialization of Plan A. NEXT is led by CEO L.R. Fox and has assembled a Medical Advisory Board to guide contraceptive development, including Dr. Charles Carignan. The company aims to initiate clinical trials by the end of 2023.

  • Floating Point Group

    Participated · Seed · May 2020

Floating Point Group provides an institutional platform that grants hedge funds, asset managers and other investors direct market access to centralized and decentralized cryptocurrency exchanges and OTC desks. Its platform includes a Multi-Party Computation (MPC) wallet system designed to secure assets without compromising fund security. The company’s first product, an order and execution management system (OEMS), is integrated with its custody and settlement platform. That OEMS has been used by dozens of institutional clients to trade billions of dollars of cryptocurrencies in 2021. Floating Point Group intends to use the new funding to grow its U.S.-based software engineering staff and expand into new markets. The company is led by cofounder and CEO John Peurifoy. Floating Point Group (FPG) simplifies how institutional traders deploy algorithmic systems for cryptocurrency trading via a consolidated, US‑regulated API offering advanced order execution and real‑time market data. Its platform includes a smart order router, partner settlement networks enabling fast execution, and the ability to trade on credit when funds are held with qualified custodians. FPG feeds market data to more than 20 organizations and has executed hundreds of millions of dollars of trades. Launched at MIT, the company targets sophisticated quantitative traders and platform developers seeking consolidated access to fragmented liquidity across exchanges and non‑exchange venues. With the new capital, FPG plans to aggressively expand its engineering staff and acquire additional U.S. regulatory licenses to broaden the jurisdictions it can serve. The company also intends to add pieces of the prime brokerage stack through strategic partnerships to deliver a holistic experience for algorithmic traders.
