MokiMobility provides a platform that allows enterprise administrators to see and manage installed applications for continuous compliance monitoring, rule-based messaging, and remote app settings control. The platform supports mission-critical apps delivered through the Apple App Store and Google Play to both consumer and corporate devices. Capabilities are implemented through a standard Software Development Kit (SDK) and cloud services available for iOS and Android. The company is led by CEO and co-founder Tom Karren and is based in Lehi, Utah. MokiMobility raised $6.6M in funding from a mix of existing and new investors. MokiMobility is a Salt Lake City cloud-based mobile device management (MDM) company that has shifted from a broad MDM approach to focus on single-purpose devices such as iPads used as ordering kiosks and POS terminals. Its core product, MokiManage, is designed to provision and secure deployments of customer-facing iOS and Android hardware. The company says this focused approach addresses a different set of needs than enterprise device provisioning and aims to support retailers and restaurants deploying multiple devices. MokiMobility recently announced a partnership with Revel Systems to integrate MokiManage into Revel’s iPad POS offering, a move that the company says will improve multi-device management and PCI compliance for Revel customers. The company was founded a little over a year before this article and is positioned to capitalize on rising demand for self-checkout and in-store tablet deployments. Financially, MokiMobility completed a $2 million seed funding round to support its growth and product integration efforts.
