Investment portfolio

  • Obrizum

    Participated · Series A · Nov 2022

Obrizum applies adaptive-learning techniques and an AI engine to create "knowledge spaces" from a company’s existing training assets, including webcasts, PDFs, slide decks, infographics and VR content. Its platform tailors learning to individuals by identifying knowledge gaps, adjusting content through regular assessments, and detecting guessing or click-through cheating. Managers receive real-time summary analytics with the ability to drill down into group and individual performance, while employees can anonymize data and request deletion under GDPR. Obrizum says it works with about 20 enterprise clients across government, aerospace and defense, employs 38 people, and reports revenue grew 17x since year-end 2020. The company plans to invest in more comprehensive content automation, advanced analytics, third-party integrations, and collaboration and sharing capabilities. It competes with platforms such as Learnsoft, Workera, GrowthSpace and Go1 in the expanding corporate skilling market.

  • Meddy

    Participated · Series A · Nov 2019

Meddy, founded in 2016 and based in Dubai, operates an online doctor appointment booking platform with search filters to help patients find appropriate providers. The company provides a consumer-facing booking product and tools that help doctors boost online presence, manage appointment books, monitor patient reviews and access analytics. According to the CEO Haris Afghadi, the platform is used by about 2,000 doctors from 150 hospitals and clinics in Dubai and Sharjah and is also being used in Qatar. Meddy has facilitated more than 100,000 online appointments and claims to have generated $50 million in revenue for participating hospitals and clinics. The company plans to use the new funding to expand into other emirates within the United Arab Emirates.
