  • Superfiliate

    Participated · Seed · Apr 2023

Superfiliate is a software platform that builds co-branded landing pages to ‘supercharge’ brands’ word-of-mouth channels across customers, influencers, ambassadors, and affiliates. The product replaces legacy affiliate links and referral codes with fully personalized shopping experiences that let creators tell a brand story, curate favorite products, and get paid for sales they generate. The scalable personalization and customization have raised conversion rates by over 20% while deepening partnerships between brands and creators. With affiliate marketing accounting for 16% of all online purchases in the U.S. last year, Superfiliate positions itself to help brands diversify acquisition away from paid media and optimize conversion funnels for each traffic source. Founded less than two years ago by Anders Bill and Andy Cloyd, the company works with merchants including MudWTR, Florence By Mills, Beam, and Hiya Health. The CEO says the company is building a platform native to new e-commerce paradigms to consolidate disparate tools into one app, and it recently closed a $3M seed round.

  • Delix Therapeutics

    Participated · Series A · Sep 2021

Delix Therapeutics develops small‑molecule psychoplastogens that rapidly induce structural and functional neural changes in targeted brain areas. Its compounds are inspired by psychedelic compounds but are engineered to preserve efficacy while avoiding hallucinogenic properties and other safety liabilities. The company is advancing multiple candidates through preclinical and clinical development with the goal of bringing FDA‑approved, take‑home medicines to patients. Delix intends to use new funds to grow its drug development program, expand its pipeline and platform, hire additional team members, and pursue strategic opportunities in 2022. The company is led by CEO Mark Rus and is based in Boston, MA. Financially, Delix recently completed a convertible note financing and secured a strategic credit facility to support its programs alongside a prior $70M Series A in September 2021. Delix Therapeutics is a Boston-based preclinical neuroscience company developing non-hallucinatory, neuroplasticity-promoting therapeutics called psychoplastogens to treat mental illness and other brain disorders at scale. Its small-molecule compounds are designed to rapidly induce structural and functional neural changes in targeted brain regions while avoiding the hallucinogenic effects of first-generation psychedelics. Delix's discovery engine has produced nearly 1,000 novel compounds and identified several potential clinical development candidates. Its most advanced, orally bioavailable analogs—profiled in Nature and Cell—seek to preserve long-lasting beneficial neural rewiring without the safety liabilities and access barriers of classic psychedelics. The company raised $70M in a Series A to advance its non-hallucinatory, take-home candidates into clinical trials and to expand its team. DLX-1 and DLX-7, the first two development candidates, are undergoing pre-IND safety and toxicology studies to enable clinical trials in 2022.

  • The Beemine Lab

Founded in late 2018 and based in Madrid, Laboratorios Beemine (TheBeemineLab) formulates products that combine the properties of honey with medicinal CBD for wellness and pharmaceutical use. The company sells via online channels and pharmacies and has expanded into Portugal and Japan. It holds patents on its products and has built a broad product range. Beemine reported a sevenfold increase in sales in 2020 and recorded 30% revenue growth in the first six months of 2021, with a goal to triple sales in 2022. Future plans include positioning the brand as a leading CBD laboratory in the pharmaceutical channel, developing new products with strategic partners, expanding market penetration nationally and internationally, and continuing investments in technology.

  • HAAS Alert

    Led · Seed · Aug 2021

HAAS Alert's core product, Safety Cloud, is a digital alerting and connected-vehicle platform that creates a shared network for communicating critical road-safety information from emergency vehicles, tow trucks, snowplows, school buses, and infrastructure. The platform delivers in-vehicle and in-app alerts to drivers up to 30 seconds before active road hazards, and HAAS Alert says these alerts can reduce the likelihood of collisions by up to 90%. Safety Cloud also enables fleets to track assets and share information with nearby responding agencies for coordinated response. The company reports thousands of public safety and transportation agencies and more than 3,200 agencies, and its alerts reach millions of drivers, including more than 2 million Stellantis vehicles (2018 and newer). HAAS Alert plans to expand Safety Cloud's presence in consumer automotive vehicles, broaden platform integrations and partnerships, and develop new digital alerting and connected safety solutions. The company was founded in 2015. HAAS Alert operates Safety Cloud, a cellular-based vehicle-to-everything (V2X) alerting platform that delivers real-time safety notifications from emergency responders and roadway fleets to nearby drivers, vehicles, and infrastructure. The service uses cellular sensors and predictive technology to push digital alerts via vehicle systems and works on any vehicle or infrastructure that alerts drivers, including fire trucks, ambulances, police vehicles, tow trucks, workzone equipment, waste trucks, and school buses. Safety Cloud is already standard on leading emergency and roadway fleet vehicle manufacturers and is active in thousands of vehicles; more than 750 public agencies and private organizations have sent over 1 billion driver alerts through the platform. Its minimal hardware requirements make the solution practical for agencies of all sizes, from rural volunteer departments and family-owned towing businesses to municipal, state DOT, and federal fleets. The platform is also used for smart-city applications that require predictive modeling, interagency coordination, and traffic preemption and management. The company closed new funding to expand Safety Cloud nationwide and target growth in network scale and alert volume.

  • Paladin

    Participated · Equity · Jul 2018

Paladin’s core product is a pro bono management platform used by law firms, legal departments and legal services organizations to list, find, sign up for, and track pro bono opportunities. Its customers include major law firms such as Dentons, Clifford Chance, Wilson Sonsini, and McDermott Will & Emery, as well as companies including Verizon, Dell, and Zurich. The company says the platform helps legal teams run more efficient pro bono programs and increase access to justice. Paladin will use new funding to accelerate product development and to meet demand from organizations building out or scaling pro bono programs. The company also plans to continue expansion beyond the U.S. and Canada. As of the Series A, Paladin reports total financing of over $12 million. Paladin is a New York–based SaaS business that helps legal teams sign up for pro bono opportunities, enables coordinators to track attorneys’ donated time, and captures impact stories. The platform helps legal departments see the return on investment for pro bono work and is used by clients such as Verizon and Lyft. Founders Felicity Conrad and Kristen Sonday created the company about three years ago and it operates as a seven-person team. Paladin plans to build infrastructure that connects organizations on the ground with legal services and law firms worldwide, acting as a matchmaker for legal departments. The company acknowledges scalability challenges because many corporate lawyers do not practice the types of litigation often most needed, including immigration, social security, criminal, and domestic abuse matters. To support growth and product development, Paladin has raised $1.1 million from investors.
