R-Squared Ventures

Los Altos, CA, United States

Overview

R-Squared: “A model intended to predict future outcomes”. And the two Roy's behind it. We're an 'angel fund'. We're operators. Entrepreneurs, founders and CEOs that started, ran, scaled and sold start-up companies. Then as corporate executives post the acquisition. Invested as angels in over two dozen start-up companies. Passionate about supporting the companies and the founders we're backing. R-Squared Ventures was founded as an extension to our personal investments. Now backed by over three dozen top entrepreneurs, founders, CEOs and investors that are our LPs - in Silicon Valley and Israel - that want to be part of our investments and extend their experience, network and support to our companies. We're excited about backing strong founders - with the drive, passion and ability to execute on a real problem, in a sizable market, with a big vision, and a defensible solution and path to succeed. Mainly focused on Fintech, Enterprise/SMB SaaS, Marketplaces and Digital Commerce. Though we also invested in other categories, such as B2C companies, Gaming, AgTech, and others.

  • Nimble

    Participated · Series B · Feb 2026

Nimble is a New York-based web search startup whose platform uses large language model agents to crawl the internet in real time, verify and validate the information, and convert it into database-like tables. The product integrates directly with enterprise data warehouses and lakes from providers such as Databricks and Snowflake, allowing live web data to sit alongside a company’s internal datasets. This capability supports use cases like competitive intelligence, pricing research, KYC, brand monitoring, deep research, and financial analysis while keeping customer data inside existing infrastructure for compliance. Nimble currently serves more than 100 customers, with most revenue coming from Fortune 500—and even some Fortune 10—organizations across retail, finance, CPG, and AI-native sectors. Management positions the company as solving the “data failure” bottleneck that limits real-world AI deployments. With the new funding, Nimble plans to expand R&D into multi-agent web search and a governed data layer that further validates search outputs. To date, the company has secured $75 million in total capital.

  • Slice Global

    Participated · Series A · Jan 2026

Slice Global Equity offers a single system that automates the entire equity lifecycle—cap tables, grants, exercises, reporting, and multi-country tax and legal compliance—so finance, legal, HR, and payroll teams can operate across jurisdictions without manual work or spreadsheets. The platform embeds jurisdiction-specific tax rules and legal requirements directly into workflows, delivering what the company calls an “agentic” experience that can actively execute tasks rather than serve as a static record. Customers report a 60 % reduction in equity-operations cycle times and an 80 % cut in outside local-counsel fees when using Slice. The product is trusted by high-growth startups and unicorns such as Wiz, VAST Data, Wayve, Aidoc, Orca, and Silverfort. Slice meets enterprise security standards including SOC 2, SOC 1, ISO 27001, GDPR, and CPRA. Headquartered between New York and Tel Aviv, the company has now raised a total of $32 million. The new capital will be used to deepen its AI-native compliance infrastructure, grow product and engineering teams, and scale go-to-market efforts worldwide.

  • Panjaya

    Participated · Equity · Nov 2024

Panjaya builds BodyTalk, a generative-AI dubbing tool that recreates a speaker’s original voice in a new language while automatically adjusting the video (lips and movements) to match the new speech. Its translation capability currently covers 29 languages and the platform produces dubbed videos after users upload them to a dashboard with additional editing tools. Processing is described as “near real-time,” taking minutes today, and the company plans an API and closer-to-real-time processing in future releases. Panjaya combines third-party large models where useful and homegrown models for tasks such as its lip-sync engine, which the team says handles multiple speakers and camera angles. The company is focused on B2B customers and counts JFrog and TED among early clients; TED-reported metrics showed dubbed Talks saw 115% higher views and doubled completion rates. The product is being positioned for broader media use cases including sports, education, marketing, healthcare, and medicine.

  • SiPhox Health

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2023

SiPhox Health develops silicon photonic chip–based diagnostics to bring lab-grade blood testing into the home. Founded in 2020 by MIT scientists Diedrik Vermeulen and Michael Dubrovsky, the company was part of Y Combinator's summer 2020 cohort and is based in Burlington, Massachusetts. Today it runs mail-in testing using conventional lab technology and sells a kit that measures 17 biomarkers across inflammation, cardiovascular, metabolic, and hormone panels for $95 plus a $16 monthly membership. Its first product was a $1 COVID-19 test on a disposable cartridge; the company is developing the SiPhox Home finger-prick device to miniaturize testing onto silicon chips and deliver protein and hormone results in five minutes or less. SiPhox Health is targeting U.S. FDA clearance for SiPhox Home within a year and is preparing a case study with thousands of participants. The startup has about 30 employees and reports early signs of chronic disease, such as pre-diabetes, in roughly 20% of tests.
