  • Derapi

    Participated · Seed · Feb 2026

Derapi builds the connective software infrastructure that allows distributed energy resources (DERs) to plug into grid programs through a single, standardized API. Its platform offers secure data access, device control, and authorization, turning fragmented devices into coordinated grid-scale assets for utilities, virtual power plant operators, and energy software providers. The company is led by veterans from EnergyHub, Enphase, AutoGrid, and Proterra who aim to eliminate integration complexity in the rapidly expanding DER ecosystem. Customer feedback, including from Uplight, indicates that Derapi dramatically shortens the time required to onboard new battery partners. With electricity demand rising and grid reliability under pressure, Derapi positions itself as the trusted interoperability layer that unlocks flexibility and resilience. The newly secured funding will expand the team and support connectivity for millions of smart energy devices across the United States. Although the company has not disclosed revenue or user numbers, its focus is on scaling adoption of its universal integration layer among energy innovators.

  • T-robotics

    Participated · Seed · Dec 2024

Trener Robotics, formerly T-Robotics, builds Acteris, a ‘physical intelligence’ software platform that converts conversational instructions into executable robot actions across brands such as ABB, Universal Robots and FANUC. Acteris is trained on visual, haptic, language and action data so robots can self-learn and adapt to changing parts or unstructured shop-floor conditions in real time, replacing traditional code-heavy programming. The system is positioned as the intelligence layer for industrial automation and is delivered through systems-integrator and OEM partners; the company has already collaborated with more than 15 integrators in Europe and the United States. Future plans for the newly raised capital include accelerating R&D in its T-Labs unit, expanding its library of production-ready skills, global hiring and broadening market and partner reach. Founded in 2024 by CEO Dr. Asad Tirmizi and CTO Dr. Lars Tingelstad, the team brings experience from Vicarious, ByteDance and NTNU. Industry recognition includes winning the Machine Tool Innovation Award at EMO Hannover and the ABB AI Startup Challenge. The Series A raises total funding to more than $38 million, underscoring investor confidence in its robot-agnostic, software-defined approach to automation. No revenue or user metrics were disclosed in the article.
