Overview
Reale Group Corporate Venturing is the division of the Reale Group’s Digital & Innovation area whose aim is to search for the best Italian and foreign innovative startups and invest in them, with the aim of creating industrial synergies within the Group’s companies and assisting them in their process of growth and business development. In an increasingly aggressive market, we strongly believe that investing in startups is an essential condition to support the development and innovation of Reale Group. We particularly aim at organizations that possess a team of talents with high competence and knowledge and that prove to jump on their competitors by taking advantage of technological product and process innovation. In our scouting activity, we liaise with a network made up of the most relevant Italian and international Venture Capital players. The way we work We make direct investments in the equity of the selected startups, thus helping their business and providing the required economic resources, always respecting their independence. To do so, we are supported by an interdisciplinary team of experts in law and finance, along with banking, insurance and technology experts with the capability to evaluate, in a quick, exhaustive and efficient way, the startups of interest, in order to secure a conscious involvement, capable of producing mutual advantages. Investments do not constitute our only method of contact with the startups world though. We are also available to consider partnerships along with services provision, in case the startups meet the requirements.

Yolo is an insurtech startup headquartered in Milan that enables users to activate micro-insurance policies in real time and pay only for the exact period they need coverage. Its fully digital, paperless platform works on both PC and mobile, making it possible to buy protection for a specific day, week, or event. The company organizes its offering into four verticals: YOLO viaggi (travel), YOLO beni (everyday items), YOLO persone (personal coverage), and YOLO salute (health). All products follow a pay-per-use model designed for flexibility and immediacy. Co-founders Simone Ranucci Brandimarte and Gianluca De Cobelli aim to use the proceeds from their initial funding to accelerate technology and product development. To date, Yolo has secured €1 million in external financing through its first venture capital round.
