Redbus Group
34 Percy Street, London, England, W1T 2DG, United Kingdom
Overview
Redbus invests in early-stage ventures, predominantly but not exclusively, in the UK. Redbus allocates part of its resources to special situations such as acquiring a business that requires reorganising or purchasing an asset that seems materially undervalued. We are not a fund, we are permanent capital, so we invest for the long term and can be very patient. As entrepreneurs ourselves, we understand some great businesses can take time to flourish. Most importantly, we get, like and understand mavericks, innovators and operators. We once were them. We are proven entrepreneurs who are passionate about backing the next generation of entrepreneurs. Our lead people have founded or had senior managerial roles in start-ups that have had successful and material exits. Our portfolio companies benefit from the support both financially and otherwise of experienced entrepreneurs who have been on the same journey they are on. We aim to provide entrepreneurial insights, know-how, strategic introductions and operational experience that will help entrepreneurs have the courage to grab opportunities, avoid some mistakes and ultimately build excellent companies. We love it when people who want to talk to us manage to find someone in our eco-system who can introduce them to us. A recommendation goes a long way. If that is not possible then we would want know why you think we would be the right investors for you as opposed to any one of the other great investors out there. We can move quickly and can run at an entrepreneur's speed. Sometimes we take down a whole round, other times we act as lead and others we just participate. We like investing alongside angel investors whom have proven entrepreneurial experience and successful track record of backing brilliant entrepreneurs.

- FreightSuite
Participated · Series A · Dec 2025
FreightSuite builds a next-generation, end-to-end freight forwarding platform that autonomously handles data exchange and operational workflows for shippers, carriers, truckers, and customs authorities. The London-based company blends logistics know-how from DHL, EV Cargo, and Rohlig with engineering talent from Apple, Google, and Goldman Sachs to deliver an Apple-like user experience and F1-level speed and accuracy. Its system aims to drive marginal operating costs toward zero, contrasting with the heavily manual processes and thin margins that characterize traditional freight providers. Recent traction includes onboarding major forwarders and delivering a 40 % increase in throughput per operative, putting the business on track for 7× sales growth into 2026. The founders even ran their own forwarding operation to perfect the automation logic, underscoring their domain obsession. Fresh capital will fund accelerated product development and the expansion of engineering and commercial teams as the company positions itself to become the category leader in autonomous forwarding technology.

- Credible
Participated · Seed · Feb 2015
Credible operates a multi-lender marketplace that connects borrowers with vetted lenders for student loans, refinancing and personal loans. Its flagship product, LenderExpress, is an intelligent pre-qualification engine that shows borrowers the actual rates they’ll qualify for in real time without impacting credit scores. The platform emphasizes consumer control over data sharing and targets millennial borrowers seeking unbiased loan comparisons. Management says the company has seen rapid growth since launching LenderExpress, with more than 85,000 people qualifying for loan offers in 2016. Credible plans to use new funding to accelerate development of data-driven technology and continue rapid product innovation. Stephen Dash is the company’s founder and CEO, and the company is based in San Francisco. Credible is a multi-lender marketplace for student loans that secures firm, legally binding loan offers for borrowers to evaluate and select. The platform works with 12 lending partners and issues fixed credit quotes that are valid for 30 days. Credible also offers a student loan refinancing product for graduates to refinance federal and private student loans. The company earns revenue by taking a transaction fee from the lender once a credit line is accepted. Credible was founded in 2012 and is led by CEO Stephen Dash. According to Dash the addressable refinancing market totals about $200 billion, of which roughly $5 billion is actually being refinanced today. Credible Labs operates an independent marketplace for student loan refinancing, enabling recent graduates and young professionals to shop and compare offers from multiple lenders. The company is not a lender but a matchmaker that provides a single application to surface personalized refinancing options. Credible reports borrowers saved an average of $11,688 by refinancing through its platform in 2014. It has seen significant growth in lender participation and aims to remove friction in the refinancing process while giving lenders access to the types of borrowers they want to underwrite. Credible plans to use new funding to expand its team and build user-friendly features to help millennials make informed decisions about their finances. The company was highlighted as the winner of LAUNCH 2.0 at San Francisco’s LAUNCH Festival. Credible is a San Francisco-based startup operating a Kayak-style marketplace to simplify private student loan refinancing. Users complete a seven-question qualification, create a profile, link existing loans and submit a single offer request that lenders use to produce refinancing offers shown in a secure dashboard. The service is offered for free to borrowers; Credible plans to generate revenue by collecting fees on disbursed loans rather than through lead-generation. During its beta the startup enrolled 30,000 students and the article notes one borrower is projected to save more than $40,000 in interest over the life of a refinanced loan. Credible closed a $500,000 seed financing from a mix of venture funds and angel investors to support its launch and marketing. Founder Stephen Dash says the team intends to expand supported lenders over the coming year and explore applying the platform to other complex application processes in banking and insurance.
