  • Oath Surgical

    Participated · Series A · Oct 2025

Oath Surgical, headquartered in San Francisco, CA, has developed OathOS, an AI-powered operating-room platform that embeds automation across pre-, intra- and post-operative workflows. The system delivers real-time data and streamlined processes for surgeons, promises faster, same-day recovery for patients, and offers payors a lower-cost, transparent care model. The company is building a unified, national network of surgeon-owned, tech-enabled surgery centers connected by this common software backbone, aligning incentives for all stakeholders. Founded by CEO Oliver Keown, Oath Surgical aims to channel complex procedures into value-based, lower-cost settings while allowing surgeons to retain autonomy. With its latest capital infusion, the company plans to expand into new specialties such as oncology, scale its nationwide network of centers, and further advance the OathOS platform. Although detailed revenue or user metrics were not disclosed, the firm’s recent $24 million Series A financing underscores investor confidence in its model and growth prospects.

  • Star Catcher

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2024

Star Catcher is developing an orbital optical power-beaming energy infrastructure designed to transmit concentrated, conditioned solar energy to client satellites, enabling up to 10x more power without receiver retrofits. The company has demonstrated world-record optical power beaming performance and completed a critical on-orbit subsystem demonstration, validating its end-to-end system architecture. Star Catcher has signed seven power purchase agreements, secured multiple government contracts, and manages a qualified commercial pipeline representing more than $3 billion in projected annual recurring revenue. It plans to launch the first space-based optical power beaming demonstration later this year and is already advancing a second mission to retire technical risk and deploy operational capability. Financially, Star Catcher has raised $88 million to date, including a $65 million Series A intended to scale engineering, operations, commercial expansion, and national security engagement.

  • RSTLSS

    Participated · Seed · Mar 2022

RSTLSS operates a platform that lets brands, influencers, and artists create and sell multiverse fashion through a gamified experience. The company focuses on onboarding crypto-native brands and bringing traditional IPs into the metaverse via curated NFT drops. Its tooling aims to simplify digital asset creation, let players customize wearables and mint designs as NFTs, and give creators a way to monetise virtual merchandise. RSTLSS has collaborated with IPs such as Assassin’s Creed, Pokémon, and Sanrio, and designs for in-game, AR, VR and physical channels. The business plans to use the recent investment to grow the team and refine the product ahead of a go-to-market launch. The platform’s stated mission is to enable consistent visual identity across virtual environments while preserving IP control for brands.

  • Contact

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2021

Contact is a marketplace and back-end platform that lets creators showcase portfolios, take bookings, manage jobs and receive payments through the product. It launched in October 2020 focused on fashion models and has since onboarded almost 600 creatives and over 1,400 clients — including Depop, Farfetch, Nike, Vivienne Westwood and Vogue — with users growing 100% year‑over‑year. Creators can accept or reject bookings via the web (and soon a mobile app), while businesses can discover talent with filters, shortlist candidates, book jobs and pay creators through the platform. Contact does not take money from creators; it levies a 20% fee on transactions charged to booking companies. The company raised a $1.9M seed round led by Founders Fund and plans to use the financing to expand beyond modeling into photographers, stylists, videographers and other creative verticals. Founder and CEO Reuben Selby, a fashion designer who has worked with Nike, Thom Browne and JW Anderson, leads the company alongside CTO Josh McMillan; the stated vision is to become a scalable back-end solution across the $104.2B creator economy.

  • Release

    Participated · Seed · Apr 2021

ReleaseHub provides an environments-as-a-service (EaaS) platform that automatically spins up isolated, full-stack environments for every code commit, pull request, or branch to support testing, QA, performance testing, demos, and migrations. Customers such as Shogun, Monad, and Simon Data integrate their source control (GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines so environments appear on demand and are torn down when branches are merged. The platform includes native integrations with DockerHub, JFrog Artifactory, AWS EKS, LaunchDarkly, and exposes an API for use with GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins and other pipelines. ReleaseHub runs entirely inside customers’ own AWS or GCP accounts so infrastructure and artifacts remain under the customer’s control. The company pitches a Heroku-like developer experience while allowing access to full cloud provider capabilities, and some organizations are already migrating from Heroku to ReleaseHub. ReleaseHub was founded in San Francisco in 2019 and participated in Y Combinator’s Winter 2020 batch. ReleaseHub offers a service that creates reproducible development environments on demand, removing manual DevOps work required to build testing, staging and production environments. The product integrates with GitHub and BitBucket and uses templates to spin up environments instantly. The company launched at the beginning of last year, spent that year building with design partners and beta customers, and has now made the service generally available. ReleaseHub plans to sell a subscription priced by the number of environments created. The founding team is led by co-founder and CEO Tommy McClung, who previously ran engineering at TrueCar and is a two-time Y Combinator founder. The company is remote-first, currently has 10 employees (including three founders), and intends to hire additional engineers while prioritizing diversity.
