  MeduSoil, founded in 2020 and based in Lausanne, develops sustainable construction solutions centred on biomineral-based binder products. The company uses biosynthesis to replace chemically synthesised or mined binders, aiming to help clients approach net-zero carbon emissions without sacrificing structural performance. MeduSoil applies its materials across earthworks, special foundations, and protective measures to improve resilience against natural hazards. The newly secured funding will support expansion in production and sales and a push into the Swiss and broader European markets. CEO and co-founder Dr. Dimitrios Terzis described the Technology Fund’s participation as a strong endorsement of the company’s vision and innovation. MeduSoil developed a novel, containerized technology enabling bio-cementation for construction and geo-environmental works. The system mineralizes carbon underground and aims to reduce CO2 emissions in otherwise energy-intensive construction processes. It is positioned to safeguard built assets against natural hazards and enable sustainable land development on solid foundations. The startup says incumbent solutions based on cement and petroleum derivatives fail in its target niche. MeduSoil is ready to ramp up production and grow operations, focusing on commercialization and market expansion. The company has previously been supported by Venture Kick in 2018 and participated in AIT India in 2016.
