- Raus
Participated · Equity · Feb 2026
Founded in 2021 by Johann Ahlers, Dr. Christopher Eilers and Julian Trautwein, Raus operates a platform that places carefully designed, mobile cabins on unused rural land, offering guests short, uncomplicated escapes from urban life. Beyond accommodation, the company layers on extras such as alpaca walks, farm visits, guided meditation and local food packages, creating a holistic nature experience. Raus partners closely with land-owners, helping them monetize idle acreage while expanding its own inventory; within two years it has hosted thousands of guests across more than 50 cabins in nine German states. In 2023 the startup reports 500 % year-over-year revenue growth, a five-fold increase in guest numbers and a more-than-tripled volume of new bookings. The firm recently opened its first upscale nature resort, the Lodge am See in Lenzen, inside a UNESCO biosphere reserve. With fresh capital, Raus plans to launch a technology-enhanced “Cabin 2.0”, optimise its proprietary booking system and expand beyond Germany, starting with Austria, while adding more community sites and supplementary products to its platform. Distinguished backers from Airbnb, HomeToGo, TIER Mobility and others underscore strong investor confidence in the model.
- Fideus
Participated · Seed · Nov 2025
Founded in 2024 in Berlin by Kai Klapal, Lennart Friedrich and Daniel Bartholomae, Fideus is building a TaxTech platform designed specifically for founder- and investor-led holding structures. The software combines conversational AI and agentic systems to automate recurring tasks such as deadline tracking, document matching and open-item reconciliation, while giving both entrepreneurs and tax firms shared, real-time access to data. In the next product stages, Fideus plans to embed tax advisors directly into the digital workflows and later add modules for asset management, real estate administration and treasury. The company is already running initial automated processes via a partner tax firm that services more than 200 customer holdings, demonstrating early market traction. By focusing on excellent user experience for entrepreneurs and structured hand-offs into advisory systems, Fideus aims to reduce manual effort and increase transparency in annual-accounts preparation. The recently secured capital will be devoted primarily to expanding the product’s AI-driven workflow engine, pattern recognition and collaboration features.
- Project Eaden
Participated · Seed · Jan 2023
Project Eaden develops ultra-realistic plant-based meats using proprietary fibre-spinning and compounding technology inspired by the textile industry. Its initial product lineup focuses on ultra-realistic hams, and the company is pursuing R&D of whole-cut meats. The startup closed an oversubscribed €15M Series A, bringing total funding to €27M, to support a European retail launch and further product development. Its products are endorsed by butchers, Michelin chefs and retail buyers. Project Eaden reports that each kilogram of its product reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 20 kg CO₂-eq, cuts water use by up to 56 m³ and decreases land use by up to 20 m². The company plans a multi-market European launch in 2025, starting with a retail debut in thousands of REWE supermarkets in Germany in the first half of the year. Project Eaden develops edible plant-based protein fibers and a fiber-spinning process intended to produce whole cuts of meat alternatives (the company aims to launch a plant-based steak this year). Its proprietary bio-fiber approach mimics the texture, juiciness and bite resistance of animal meat by bundling millions of thin fibers into finished cuts. The startup says the method is more scalable and less costly than extrusion and could be applied across beef, pork, chicken and seafood. Project Eaden is pre-revenue and currently moving from lab setup to prototype production with plans to refurbish manufacturing space for in-house scale-up. The company plans to hire R&D and food-grade materials staff and partner with culinary experts to debut the product. Longer-term plans include moving to a highly automated production facility and pursuing additional funding to accelerate a commercial plant build. Founders include materials scientist David Schmelzeisen, mymuesli founder Hubertus Bessau and ex-Zalando manager Jan Wilmking. Project Eaden develops animal-free steak and plans a wider portfolio of sustainable foods produced with proprietary technology that aims to recreate aroma, texture and visual appeal. The company says its process can handle a wide range of raw materials and is recruiting tissue engineers to reinvent plant-based meat "from the fiber up." Founders include Dr.-Ing. David Schmelzeisen (R&D), Jan Wilmking and mymuesli co-founder Hubertus Bessau. Project Eaden positions its product as highly palatable and cost-efficient, with the explicit goal of reducing food-related emissions by encouraging preference for sustainable options. The startup claims its first steak prototypes already outperform existing alternatives in taste, look and texture according to the lead investor. The newly raised funds will be used to further develop and scale the company's proprietary technology.
- pleez
Participated · Seed · Apr 2022
Pleez builds technology solutions for delivery platforms like Glovo and Uber Eats, including a 'menus active management service' designed to boost restaurant sales. The platform manages over 72,000 orders per month after six months of operation and has enabled restaurants to increase sales by around 15%, with larger gains expected over the medium and long term. The company will use the new funding to double the team to 60 people and reinforce its presence in the Iberian market. Management says the round will aid Pleez's internationalisation efforts and help catering-industry players take more informed decisions. The article notes prior backing from Atlantic Food Labs and Axel Springer Porsche. Pleez is based in Portugal. Pleez is a Lisbon-based foodtech startup that employs AI to analyse menu performance and competitor offerings. Its platform examines menus from multiple angles and provides actionable insights intended to increase revenue and ticket size. The company says customers see a 25% lift in sales from its recommendations. Pleez raised a €1.5 million seed round to further develop its technology stack and support pan‑European expansion, with an initial push into Spain. The seed was led by Berlin’s FoodLabs and saw participation from Shio Capital, existing investors Wisenext and APX, and angel investors including the founders of Orderbird. FoodLabs framed the investment as backing Pleez to help grow the food delivery market across Europe.
- Keen 4 Greens
Participated · Seed · Feb 2022
Keen 4 Greens produces vegan meat products such as nuggets and burgers and is developing whole-cut analogues made from fermented mycelium. The company plans to replace wheat- and pea-based formulations with allergen-free mycelium-centric recipes, including a five-ingredient chicken analogue (mycelium, pea protein, oil, salt and water) with no additives. It says mycelium contains all eight essential amino acids and offers faster growth times versus crops, allowing in-house protein sourcing and cost control. Current products (wheat-protein based) are distributed through the hospitality sector with customers including Otto’s Burger, Ruff’s Burger and Vincent Vegan. The startup notes EU approval for mycelium as a foodstuff has yet to be granted but does not consider their mycelium a novel food. Incoming funds will be used to scale production, build a new facility with an on-site laboratory, and develop new lines such as chicken strips, breaded chicken strips, beef and bacon.
